Andrew Gamarra

Head Coach

Andrew Gamarra joined the North Central College staff in 2016 as the eighth head coach in the history of the Cardinal women's soccer program.  Gamarra has compiled a 87-53-13 record at the helm for the Cardinals, making him the winningest coach in program history. In 2023, North Central won its first-ever CCIW Regular Season Championship and CCIW Tournament Title, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals set a school record of 18 wins in a season, including a 15-match unbeaten streak while scoring 91 goals, the second most in Division III. North Central also broke a CCIW record by not allowing a goal throughout league play. In conjunction with this record-breaking and threshold-crossing 2023 season, Gamarra was named CCIW Coach of the Year, a first for a North Central women’s soccer head coach. Achieving new heights for the Cardinal soccer program, the first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin players of the year, All-Region, and All-American honorees were earned during Gamarra’s tenure by his recruits. Gamarra has coached three CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year selections, two Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year honorees, and a pair of First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year recipients.    Academically, North Central has earned seven United Soccer Coaches Association Team Academic Awards under Gamarra. Four Cardinals have been named USC Scholar All-Americans, with seven earning USC Scholar All-Region nods. Three players were selected to the College Sports Communicator's (CSC) Academic All-America teams, including Elle Sutter, who was a two-time honoree and the CSC Women's Soccer Division III Academic All-American of the Year in 2024. Prior to North Central, Gamarra served as the head coach at  Russell Sage College (N.Y.) from 2014-2015. The Gators went 26-10-4 in two seasons with Gamarra. He was named the 2014 Skyline Conference Coach of the Year with a Skyline Conference Championship in 2015. Eight players were named to the All-Conference teams under Gamarra's leadership. Gamarra played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside (2006-07) and Carthage College (2008-09). He graduated from Carthage in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in business administration before earning a master's degree in education from Carthage. He served as the assistant coach at his alma mater from 2009-13.

Kate Perry

Assistant Coach

Kate Perry joined the North Central College coaching staff prior to the 2018-2019 academic year as a graduate assistant coach for the Cardinals' women's soccer program. Perry assists with the coaching of North Central's goalkeepers while also playing a lead role in the Cardinals' recruiting and fundraising efforts. Perry was a four-year member of the women's soccer program at Carthage College, earning Academic All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) accolades as a junior and serving as a team captain as a senior. She gained coaching experience as an assistant coach for Indian Trail High School and the Kenosha Area Soccer League, and served as the goalkeeper coach for the Kenosha Crew Soccer Club. A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Perry graduated from Carthage in May 2018 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She is enrolled in the Master of Leadership Development program at North Central, with an emphasis in sports leadership.

Jacey Kent

Assistant Coach

Jacey Kent joined the North Central College women's soccer coaching staff in August of the 2022 season as the graduate assistant coach. Kent has coached for Chicago Rush Soccer Club in Geneva as well as at both Tremper High School (Wis.) and Lake Park High School as a varsity assistant coach. She played collegiately at Carthage College, earning All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin honors in 2018 and 2019. Kent was a team captain both of those years while being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team in 2019. She was an Academic All-CCIW selection in 2017, 2018, and 2019. A native of Hanover Park, Kent graduated from Carthage with her bachelor's degree in physical education and sports science. She is pursuing a master's degree in sports leadership from North Central.

Maria Fields

Assistant Coach

Maria Fields joined the North Central College women's soccer coaching staff prior to the 2024 season as a graduate assistant coach. She will work primarily with Cardinal goalkeepers Fields played college soccer in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin at Illinois Wesleyan University, where she was a goalkeeper. During her time with the Titans, Illinois Wesleyan won the 2019 CCIW Tournament Championship, securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, before winning the CCIW regular season title in 2021. Fields was a three-time Academic All-CCIW honoree and a 2021 CCIW RESPECT Award winner. She also served as a coach at Camp Shutout for six years, the largest goalkeeper camp in the world.  A native of Frankfort, Ill., Fields graduated from Illinois Wesleyan with a degree in neuroscience. She is pursuing her Master's of Business Administration at North Central.
