Erin Sharpe
Head Coach
Bio Erin Sharpe is entering her third season as head softball coach at Northeast. In 2026, Isabel Raburn was named ICCAC Honorable Mention All-Region as a utility player, as Northeast finished 17-44. Raburn became a force at the plate for the Hawks this season, hitting .355, a sharp improvement over her .212 mark as a freshman. She belted eight home runs and drove in 32 RBIs. In the circle, Raburn was Northeast's ace all season, appearing in 37 games and striking out 163 batters. She finished her two years with the Hawks with 11 wins and 361.2 innings pitched, and she started in the circle when Northeast upset No. 25 Iowa Central Community College on the road on April 25, allowing just four hits to secure the ranked win. Raburn has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at NAIA Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. The athletic department recognized softball's Amy Lauby as the Female Character Student-Athlete of the Year at its 2025-26 student-athlete banquet, an honor voted on by the entire athletic department. Athletic Director Jerrett Mills was impressed by everything Lauby, a pitcher and hitter for the Hawks, brought to Northeast throughout her career. "Amy Lauby has defined what it means to be a true character student-athlete," Mills said. "She upholds the philosophy of our athletic department and strives to be the best person that she can be every day." In 2025, Raburn was named Second Team All-Region while Bailee Ahlemeyer earned Honorable Mention All-Region, as Northeast finished 21-34. Raburn served as Northeast's ace all season, leading the entire ICCAC in strikeouts with 219. The freshman finished the year with a 3.59 ERA and was the winning pitcher in 13 of Northeast's 21 wins. Ahlemeyer appeared in 56 games as a freshman, hitting .343 with five home runs and 19 doubles. She led off for the Hawks throughout the season and provided steady defense in center field. Northeast Community College named Sharpe the second head softball coach in program history, it was announced on Feb. 22 by Athletic Director Jerrett Mills. Sharpe previously made successful coaching stops at Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa; Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska; and Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado, before joining Northeast. She was an instrumental part of helping Midland capture the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship in 2022 and the GPAC Tournament Championship in 2023. Midland qualified for the 2023 NAIA World Series in Columbus, Georgia, after defeating defending champion Oklahoma City University. The Warriors went on to beat two teams at the World Series and finished sixth with an overall season record of 41-15. Sharpe has coached five All-Americans throughout her coaching career. "We are thrilled to announce Erin Sharpe as the next head softball coach at Northeast Community College," Mills said. "Erin is highly regarded in the softball community and brings a long list of qualities to build a strong foundation for our softball program. She will bring a wide range of skills that will enhance the experience for our student-athletes." Before entering coaching, Sharpe had a highly decorated playing career at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska, where she played third base and pitched. Sharpe earned national recognition, being named a First Team All-American by both the NAIA and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She was also named NSAA Softball Player of the Year in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and holds the Bellevue career record for home runs with 78. During the 2017 season, Sharpe led the entire NAIA with 28 home runs. Sharpe is originally from Bosque Farms, New Mexico, and earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Health Science from Bellevue University in 2019, as well as a Master of Science degree in Learning and Talent Development from Midland University in 2023. "I'm excited for this opportunity to move back to Nebraska and hit the ground running," Sharpe said. "Coach Woodhead has done an excellent job building the foundation the last eight years and I believe this will be a smooth transition for the student-athletes. I am honored to lead this team and am committed to bringing out the best in each student-athlete. With the endless support of the community and Northeast, I am determined to make big strides within the program. I'm eager to lean and grow alongside the student-athletes and bring Hawks Softball continued success into the future."
