Head coach Jeremy Bonomo enters his second season at the helm of Northeastern men's soccer in 2025, after taking the job on February 2, 2024. Bonomo is the eighth head coach in program history and joined the Huskies following nine seasons as the head coach at Green Bay.   "We are thrilled to welcome Jeremy to Northeastern as the next leader of our men's soccer program," Madigan said. "A native New Englander, Jeremy has a proven track record of building a program into a perennial contender, culminating this season in a Horizon League title. We are confident that he will positively guide and mentor our student-athletes to help them succeed at the highest levels, both on and off the field." In his first season as head coach of the Huskies, Northeastern saw instance success in the defensive half, posting a 1.06 goals against average, which was third in the conference and 44th in the nation. Bonomo's Huskies found their stride in the second half of the season, finishing the season with a 3-1-4 record in their final eight games, including the program's longest unbeaten streak since 2021. NU outscored its opponents 17-8 in that eight-game stretch.   Bonomo, a two-time Horizon League Coach of the Year honoree during his nine seasons at Green Bay, guided the Phoenix to its first conference championship title and NCAA tournament appearance in more than a decade during the 2023 season. Green Bay went 10-4-5 last fall, including a 5-2-2 mark in league play, reaching the 10-win plateau for the first time since 2011. The Phoenix earned the No. 2 seed in the Horizon League tournament before knocking off top-seeded Oakland on the road to advance to the NCAA Division I Tournament for the third time in team history.   "I am honored and humbled to serve as the next men's soccer coach at Northeastern University," Bonomo said. "As a New England native, I couldn't be happier to be coming home. It is a true dream job that allows me the rare opportunity to do what I love from the place my family calls home. I'd like to thank Jim Madigan and Marshall Foley for believing in my vision for Northeastern men's soccer, and I am excited to start working alongside the student-athletes and coaches who will serve as the foundation for the sustained success of this program."   Bonomo recorded 75 wins during his tenure at Green Bay, reaching the postseason on five occasions including the 2017 Horizon League Regular Season Championship, the first in the history of the program. He also coached 22 all-conference selections, two All-Americans, five conference player of the year winners, six all-region selections, and two top-20 nationally ranked defenses.   Before coming to Green Bay, Bonomo put his recruiting skills on display as the top assistant at Cincinnati, securing six top-100 recruits, five high school All-Americans and one junior college All-American, two state players of the year, and two members of youth national teams. Bonomo played a vital role in developing the 2011 recruiting class for the Bearcats, which was ranked 28th nationally. Additionally, Bonomo was responsible for recruiting six of TopDrawerSoccer.com's Top 100 Freshmen throughout his stint at UC.   Three of Bonomo's recruits inked contracts to play at the next level, two of which were chosen in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Emmanuel Appiah was selected by the Colorado Rapids as the 15th overall pick and John Manga was also picked by the Colorado Rapids as the 63rd overall selection. In addition, Alejandro Garcia joined the Orlando City B of the United Soccer League.   Prior to his arrival at UC, Bonomo spent three seasons as the head coach at Assumption College. The Greyhounds held a 2-13-2 record before Bonomo's tenure began, but he finished his stint at Assumption with a 9-6-3 record in 2009 that included a final No. 10 ranking in the NSCAA East Regional Ranking. He developed seven all-conference, two all-region, and one player of the year with the Greyhounds while being named the conference's Coach of the Year in 2009.   A native of Pelham, N.H., Bonomo played collegiately at New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University), where he captained the team to three NCAA Tournaments, including two NCAA Quarterfinal appearances and a National Runner-Up in 2002. He graduated with a degree in business before receiving his MBA in 2006.

Pinto came to Northwestern in 2021 after serving as an assistant coach down Sheridan Road at Loyola University Chicago. He had been with the Ramblers since February of 2019 and helped the program to 18 wins in two seasons, including the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference title and an NCAA tournament appearance.    Pinto joined Loyola after a one-year stint at University of North Carolina-Wilmington, where the team qualified for the 2018 NCAA tournament with a 12-5-3 record. Under his guidance, the Seahawks finished 18th nationally in goals-against-average and 19th nationally in team save percentage. Pinto also coached goalkeeper Ryan Cretens to a Second Team All-CAA honor.   A 2016 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Pinto's first job out of college was spending the 2017 season at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. He helped the Hatters post a 7-7-2 record and capture the Atlantic Sun Conference regular season championship. He coached the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year in Joseph Melong and ASUN Freshman of the Year Deniz Dogan as the Hatters finished conference play unbeaten at a 4-0-2 clip.   Pinto was also a member of the coaching staff at GPS Florida, serving as the Director of Goalkeeping while acting as the head coach for the U-12 GPS Florida Select I team.   Prior to his arrival at Stetson, Pinto served as an assistant coach at Iowa Lakes Community College. The program registered a 14-5-0 record and earned a No. 15 national ranking with him on staff.   A native of Beaverton, Oregon, Pinto earned his 'D' license from the United States Soccer Federation in December of 2017. That same year, he earned his masters degree from the University of South Dakota in Sport Management.
