Head Coach
McCarty is in his first season as the Red Raiders' head coach, moving into that position in December of 2015. McCarty was the team's defensive coordinator for 11 years and also served as assistant head coach from 2012 to 2015. Family: wife-Alisha; children-Brooks & Deviryn Alma Mater (Year): Northwestern College (2003) Playing Career: played four years (2000-03); NAIA All-American in 2003 Coaching Experience: 2015-present-Head Coach 2005-2015-Defensive Coordinator 2012-2015-Assistant Head Coach 2003-04-Assistant Coach at Okoboji High School Coaching Accomplishments: Finalist for the Assistant Coach of the Year in 2014 guided NAIA's top-ranked overall and scoring defense in 2014 ranked 4th in NAIA with 39 sacks in 2014 ranked 5th in NAIA with 38 sacks in 2013 ranked 7th in NAIA in total defense in 2012, 9th in scoring defense set GPAC record and ranked 2nd in sacks (44) in 2012 ranked 2nd in sacks in 2007 and 2008; 3rd in 2010 ranked 2nd in scoring (11.2ppg) and 3rd in total defense in 2008 guided the Red Raiders to a top 15 scoring defense in all but one season Other Coaching Accomplishments: 17 players have earned All-American honors 4 players named GPAC Defensive Player of the Year "I want to instill in our players to always do their best," commented McCarty.
