Niedermayer is in his 3rd year and is a familiar face to Northwestern. Niedermayer played in 2007 to 2010 as an eagle, earning academic all-conference awards in both 2008 and 2010. In 2010, he was second in conference for goals against with a total of nine and first in conference for saves with a .850 percentage. In addition to his academic awards, Niedermayer was a three time UMAC player of the week. Niedermayer is currently a technical analyst in the IT department at Northwestern working as a project manager. Niedermayer is married and resides with his wife, Mara, and son Oliver in Fridley, Minn.
