Jerry Partridge

Head Coach

Jerry Partridge enters his first year at the helm of the Rangers, after three seasons at NCAA Division I University of Tennessee at Martin.   Partridge brings a wealth of experience to the Rangers after previously spending 20 seasons as a head coach at NCAA Division II Missouri Western State while also holding roles as the defensive coordinator at both Northern Arizona and Delta State. At University of Tennesse at Martin, Partridge helped a coaching staff that led the program to four consecutive league championships from 2021-24. Before assuming the role as defensive coordinator, he oversaw the team’s defensive backs while serving as a special teams assistant for punt return and kickoff. While at Northern Arizona, Partridge served as the program’s defensive coordinator from 2019-22. During his tenure, he mentored 11 All-Big Sky honorees, including first team selections Khalil Dorsey and Morgan Vest. Prior to joining the Lumberjacks, Partridge held a similar position as defensive coordinator at Division II Delta State from 2017-18. During that time, the Statesmen boasted 11 wins in two seasons while ranking amongst the nation’s leaders in third down conversion defense, turnovers gained and interceptions in 2017. Partridge enjoyed an impressive career as head coach of Missouri Western from 1997-2016 while ranking as the program’s all-time wins leader with 149 career victories. He guided the Griffons to 11 straight winning seasons, four NCAA Division II playoff berths, two conference titles and six bowl game appearances.  His 2012 team advanced to the NCAA National Quarterfinals after finishing with a 12-2 record and were ranked as high as No. 4 nationally – one of his 12 nationally ranked squads. Partridge was honored as Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Coach of the Year on two occasions (2000, 2012) and has had more than 15 of his players invited to NFL camps.  Partridge was inducted into the Missouri Western Hall of Fame in 2011. Prior to Missouri Western, Partridge spent a season as defensive backs coach at Murray State (1996), where he helped lead the Racers to the Ohio Valley Conference Championship with an 11-2 record.  Murray State advanced to the national quarterfinals of the NCAA I-AA Playoffs and ranked sixth nationally in pass defense and seventh in overall defense. Partridge had a previous stint at Missouri Western (1991-95) as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.  He also spent one year as the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Austin Peay (1990) and was a graduate assistant on the Notre Dame squad that captured the 1988 National Championship.  He began his career as a graduate assistant at Missouri in 1986.

Jonathan Heck

Coach

Heck Joins the Ranger Staff as the Offensive Coordinator/ Recruiting Coordinator/ Quarterbacks Coach, bringing a proven track record of building explosive, balanced offenses and developing high-level talent at multiple collegiate programs. Heck comes to Northwestern Oklahoma State after serving in the same roles at Missouri Baptist University for the past three season.   His offense consistently ranked in the top four of the HAAC in all major offensive categories over three consecutive seasons. During his tenure, his units averaged just over 400 yards per game, set multiple single-game and single-season program records. He has produced record-breaking performances from both quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs. Heck has coached 11 All-Conference selections in his three seasons at the helm of the offense, which helped lead the way to best record in program history.  Prior to MBU Heck had a two-year stint as the Tight Ends Coach at Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) powerhouse Marian University in Indianapolis, Ind. At MU, Heck was a part of the MSFA conference championship team in 2021 who ranked as high as #5 in the Country. The Team appeared in two straight NAIA Football Championship Series quarterfinal playoffs. In two seasons with the Knights, Heck was a part of a top five offense in the country where he coached two First Team All-Conference Tight-Ends in 2021 and 2022.  Before his time at Marian, Heck served as the Wide Receivers Coach at Ottawa University (Kan.) one of the winningest programs in NAIA History. During the spring COVID season, he mentored three Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) All-Conference Honorable Mention recipients.  Heck made the jump to college coaching as an undergraduate student at the University of Kansas. He served as a student coach working with the quarterbacks for two seasons. Following graduation with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Heck stayed on staff assisting in the quarterback room for two additional seasons.  Heck began his coaching career at North Chicago Community High School serving as the teams Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach/Academic Coordinator. In his first season, he helped lead the Warhawks to the highest scoring offense in the North Suburban Conference and the team's best record in almost a decade. At the time, he was the youngest Coordinator in the state of Illinois.   A native of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin. Heck now Resides in Alva with his Fiancé Kaylee who will be married in July.

Trevin Chandler

In the spring of 2025, Trevin joined the Rangers staff and is entering his first season with the program. A native of Houston, Texas, he is a graduate of Pearland High School and a former standout at Bethany College, where he was a three-time team captain. During his playing career, he earned 2021 Offensive Player of the Year, 2021 Most Valuable Player, and All-Conference honors as a wide receiver. Following his playing career, Trevin transitioned into coaching at Bethany College. He began as the Defensive Backs Coach in 2022, where his unit improved from three interceptions to nine in his first season and ranked among the Top 20 nationally in passing defense. He also served as Special Teams Coordinator in 2022, coaching an All-Conference punter. In 2023, he returned to coaching defensive backs and returners, with his secondary recording 10 interceptions and producing another All-Conference defensive back. In 2024, Trevin Chandler led one of the most productive secondaries in the country, finishing second nationally with 19 interceptions. His special teams unit also excelled, highlighted by the top kick returner in the conference and multiple All-Conference honorees on both defense and special teams. In addition to his football career, Trevin served in the United States National Guard (2019–2025). He is a devoted Christian and passionate about developing young men both on and off the field. He is excited to lead the Rangers secondary to a very productive season.

Zach Parks

Parks joins the Ranger football staff with 18 years of coaching experience, including 15 years coaching the offensive line. He has coached at the collegiate and high school levels, bringing experience from the NCAA Division II,  NAIA and Nebraska high school football. Known for his detailed instruction and player-centered approach, Parks emphasizes physical line play, accountability, and player development both on and off the field.  Parks most recently served as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Scottsbluff High School, where he led the offensive line, assisted with the defensive line, and supported special teams units. In addition, he coordinated strength and conditioning programming for all NSAA sports and contributed to game planning and in-game adjustments within a gap-scheme offense.  Prior to that, Parks coached at Graceland University as the Run Game Coordinator, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, and Offensive Line Coach. There, he  assisted in installing an RPO-based spread and tempo run game, designed tempo-driven lifting programs, and recruited across East Central Iowa, Kansas City, and California junior colleges.  Prior to Graceland, Parks spent three seasons at Southern Arkansas University as the Tight Ends and Running Backs Coach/Academic Coordinator. In that role, he led position group installs and film study in an RPO-focused offense while overseeing academic success programs aimed at supporting first-year student-athletes. His recruiting responsibilities included Northern Louisiana and the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  During the 2018 season, Parks coached the offensive line and served as Video Coordinator at Northern State University, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He oversaw all aspects of offensive line development while managing daily film operations for practices and games and recruiting the Southern Minnesota and Twin Cities region.  From 2015 to 2017, Parks was the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Dakota Wesleyan University. During his tenure, the offense averaged over 500 yards and 39 points per game, produced two GPAC Offensive Players of the Year, and logged more than 900 hours of annual team community service.  Parks began his collegiate coaching career at the University of Montana Western, where he spent five seasons coaching the offensive line and one season coaching the defensive line after transitioning directly from a playing career. He later continued his development at the University of Jamestown as the Run Game Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, and Video Coordinator, developing multiple All-Conference linemen on both sides of the ball.  Parks holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Southern Arkansas University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Montana Western.  Parks resides in Alva with his amazing wife Lindsey Parks, and their two children Brighton and Eilee.

Tim Washington

Tim Washington joins the Rangers as the defensive line coach after six seasons at Mississippi State University, where he had a variety of roles. He was the assistant defensive line coach for the past two seasons, as well as a defensive line analyst and graduate assistant. In his time with the Bulldogs, he coached four future NFL players.

Declan Haub

Coach

Declan Haub joins the Rangers as the linebackers coach after one season as a graduate assistant at Emporia State University. At Emporia State, he coached defense and special teams, including recruiting and coaching a 1st Team All-American and MIAA and NCAA Division II Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year. On special teams, his group was the best punt unit in the MIAA and second in the conference in punt returns.

John Flores

Northwestern Oklahoma State University football is excited to welcome John Flores as the new Running Backs Coach. He arrives in Alva after serving as an Offensive Line Assistant at UTSA, where he was part of a staff that built one of the most consistent and productive rushing attacks in the American Athletic Conference. During his time with the Roadrunners, he helped develop a physical run game that powered the program to multiple postseason appearances, including a Myrtle Beach Bowl championship. His ability to connect with players and maximize their potential makes him a valuable addition to the Ranger coaching staff. At NWOSU, he will oversee the development of the running backs, focusing on toughness, ball security, and explosive play making as the program looks to elevate its offensive identity. Flores will also serve as the Academic Coordinator for Ranger Football where he will supervise the academic affairs of players.

Cam Gordon

Coach

A familiar name is back in Alva to coach tight ends at Northwestern. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Cam Gordon moved to Alva before his first year of high school. Gordon then went on to dominate on the Goldbugs before continuing his playing career for the Rangers during 2019-2021. He starred at the Outside Linebacker and Safety positions for Northwestern.   Gordon worked with the strength and conditioning program before making the full switch to football before the 2025 season. Gordon is excited to be back home and help lead the Rangers to a successful season.
