Bryan Hagopian
Head Coach
Hagopian's programs. All four sports under the head coach claimed top-5 finishes at their respective conference championships, with Alex Palm winning her second Sunshine State Conference Championship. Both the women and men were represented at the NCAA Cross Country National Championship. In track and field, the Sharks once again combined for a pair of top-3 finishes at the Peach Belt Conference Championships. There, the Sharks pulled home multiple individual titles and set up several individual runs at the NCAA National Championship. Nationals was highlighted by Ryan Jerothe's All-American performance in the pole vault. During the 2012-13 season, The men's cross country team won the Sunshine State Conference title and the 20th overall SSC Championship in Nova Southeastern history.The Shark men went on to continue their success by winning the South Regional Championship. This was the first time the team had won a Men's South Regional title in schools history. The women took second at the SSC championships. Hagopian led Alexandra Palm to her first Sunshine State Conference Individual Championship. Palm is the first female in school history to win a Sunshine State Conference Title.The women took third-place at the South Regional Championship.The men came in 32nd as the women came in 29th at the NCAA Championships in Joplin, Mo. Hagopian led Alexandra Palm to her first Sunshine State Conference Individual Championship. Palm is the first female in school history to win a Sunshine State Conference Title.During the 2012-13 track and field season, Hagopian has helped the team accumulate five NCAA national representatives, six conference champions, two Peach Belt Athlete of The Year awards and 16 personal records and helped five athletes reach the NCAA national championship. He provided coaching to Peri Bowman, who was named Co-Athlete of the Year and Darren Hendricks, who was named Freshman Athlete of The Year. In addition, he also helped guide the womens and mens team to a second and third place finish at their first Peach Belt Conference Championship. Following his unprecedented inaugural season as head coach in 2009, Hagopian came into his second year with high expectations of both cross country and track and field teams. He found it when Carlyle Thompson became the programs first first-ever All-American for Track and Field. Thompson performed in the 2010 NCAA Championships and was the first one to do so in program history and earned sixth place. During his first season with the Sharks, Hagopian coached both programs to multiple records during both the cross country and track and field seasons. On the womens side, Krystal Porter and Brooke Hurley became the first two runners in the womens cross country history to run sub 19:00 in the 5K. During the track season records were met in 10 track events as well as in three field events as the Sharks competed in field events for the first time since the track and field program began in 2006. Most notably for NSUs womens team for the track and field season was Kyley Jorgensen, who was a freshman who provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships in the 100 meters.

Austin Warner
Assistant Coach
Warner has guided 15 student-athletes to NCAA All-South Region honors by placing in the Top 25 at the NCAA Division 2 South Regional Championships. In fall 2015, the mens and womens cross country teams showed success in the classroom by achieving USTFCCAA All-Academic Team Awards for achieving an overall team GPA over 3.15 On the track, 18 middle distance and distance student-athletes have been named to the USTFCCCA All-South Region as well as every institutional record from 800m-10,000m has been broken for both the men and women in the past three seasons. Prior to NSU, Warner served as an assistant for the mens and womens cross country programs at Hawaii Pacific University in 2012, where HPU hosted both the Pac West XC Championships and the NCAA Division II West Regional Cross Country Championships. Originally from Dyer, Ind., Warner earned his Bachelor's degree from Trinity Christian College. Warner is a three-time NAIA national qualifier in cross country and a four-time national qualifier on the track. He served as the team captain his junior and senior seasons and holds five school records at Trinity while holding personal bests of 14:53 in the 5000m and 31:59 in the 10000m events. Warner is USATF Level 1 certified and holds a master's in education with a specialization in athletic administration.

Charles Johnson
Assistant Coach
Johnson earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami. Johnson competed with the Miami track and field team, where he held a school record in the hammer throw for six years and is still in the top 10 all-time best list for both discus and hammer. Before joining the Sharks, Johnson coached multiple athletes who qualified for the FHSAA state championships every year during his tenure at Miami Coral Park Senior High School. Johnson is currently pursuing a masters degree in education with a specialization in athletic administration.

Jessica Cousins
Assistant Coach
Cousins comes to NSU from Howard University, where she spent three years as the assistant coach and Director of Operations of their mens and womens track and field teams. Cousins earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas, and was twice named All-American while competing with the Razorbacks. Cousins placed second in both the 2007 SEC Indoor Championships in Lexington, Ky. and the SEC Outdoor Championships that same season in Auburn, Ala. At the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif., she placed fourth. After graduation, Cousins stayed at Arkansas and served as an academic advisor for one season and as a volunteer assistant coach for five seasons, while also competing as an athlete on USA Track and Field Elite team. She participated in the 2010 USA Indoor Championships, as well as for the 2010 and 2012 USA World Indoor Track and Field teams and the 2011 USA Pan American team. As an alternate on the 2010 USA World team, she placed first in the 4x400 in Doha, Qatar. Prior to attending Arkansas, Cousins was a member of the Clemson Tigers track and field squad and was a 2003 ACC Champion in the 4x4 relay.
