Ryan Polak
Head Coach
Ryan Polak enters his sixth season as the head men's lacrosse coach in 2025-26 after he was named the head coach in February of 2021. Earning the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Coaching Staff of the Year accolade in 2025, Polak has transformed the program since his arrival in 2021. In his first full season as the head coach, Polak led the Yeomen to their first NCAC tournament appearance in program history. The Crimson and Gold continued to be a strong force as the 2025 class marked the winningest class in school history by registering 41 wins. Under Polak’s direction, there have been 20 All-NCAC honorees as well as three United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America Honorable Mention selections and one Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Association All-Region Honorable Mention. In the classroom, the Yeomen have produced 69 NCAC All-Academic recipients and 13 College Sports Communications All-District honorees under Polak’s direction. Prior to his Oberlin tenure, Polak served as the lead assistant coach at Kenyon College for three seasons, where he was the Lords' offensive and recruiting coordinator. Polak was instrumental in making the Lords a perennial force within the NCAC with two conference tournament appearances (2018-19) and producing nine All-NCAC selections. Before Kenyon, he was the director for True Lacrosse Idaho and also worked as the head lacrosse coach at Bishop Kelly High School in Boise, Idaho. Polak got his start in coaching as a college counseling intern and assistant lacrosse coach at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, in 2015 and 2016. A 2014 graduate of Washington College (Maryland), Polak helped the Shoremen make three NCAA Tournament appearances as a midfielder and attackman. As a senior, he guided WC to a Centennial Conference Championship in 2014 and an appearance in NCAA DIII semifinals. Polak earned a bachelor's degree in business management from WC and completed a master's of science in sport coaching from West Virginia University in December of 2020. Thomas Klosowski
Associate Head Coach
Thomas Klosowski enters his third season with the Oberlin College men's lacrosse program in 2025-26 after he was named assistant men's lacrosse coach in June of 2023. He will serve as the team's defensive coordinator, face-off coach, and recruiting coordinator. Kloswoski made his return to the NCAC known to his opponents in 2024, coaching up a defense that finished with a conference-best penalty-killing percentage of 75.8%. Klosowski's defense also excelled at forcing turnovers, with the Yeomen defense averaging over 12 caused turnovers per game, good for second in the conference and a top-thirty rank in all of Division III. Coaching a USILA All-American honorable mention in 2025, Klosowski helped the Crimson and Gold earn NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors and directly worked with three All-Conference honorees. Prior to Oberlin, Klosowski spent the 2023 season as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Bates College. Before his time in Lewistown, Klowsowski served as an assistant coach at Kenyon from 2019-2022. During his time in Gambier, Klosowski helped lead the Owls to the NCAC Tournament each season, including runner-up finishes in 2022 and 2021. Guiding the third-ranked defense in the country in 2022, Klosowski’s rearguard led the NCAC in caused turnovers, man-down goals, scoring defense, and goals allowed. The historic 14-win season in 2022 also featured Kenyon’s first-ever NCAC playoff win and highest finish in school history. Throughout his tenure, he helped mentor 29 All-NCAC selections, including 2022 NCAC Defensive Player of the Year Mayo Amorello. Furthermore, he instructed three USILA All-Americans and six USILA Scholar All-Americans. Klosowski brings additional experience as a former high school and club head coach and is also the owner and operator of TK Athletics LLC (Miami, FL), an organization intended to build youth, middle, and high school developmental programs in South Florida. The 2010 Miami-Dade Player of the Year out of Gulliver Prep in Miami, Klosowski went on to earn All-American honors at Onondaga Community College (Syracuse, NY) where he won two National Junior College Athletic Association championships. He would later play at The Ohio State University before transferring to the University of Miami to earn a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration. A former member of the Polish National Team, his playing career would continue professionally as he spent time with the Florida Launch of the MLL, and he also played for the Columbus Crows of the IBLA.

Grossman enters his seventh season as the head coach of Oberlins mens lacrosse team in 2017. During his tenure he has rejuvenated the Yeomen lacrosse team and made them annual competitors within the North Coast Athletic Conference. Earning NCAC Coach of the Year honors in his first season in 2011, Grossman has gone on to lead the Yeomen to a winning season in three out of the last four years (2013-2015). The Grossman File - Has led the team to seven or more wins in five out of the last seven seasons - Enters 2017 with 41 career wins - Led Oberlin to 12 NCAC wins over the last four years (2013-2016) after not winning a conference game since 1995 - The teams 8-6 record in 2013 was the Yeomens first season over .500 since 1995 - In 2015, mentored sophomore Kinori Rosnow to a nation-leading face-off percentage of .715 (206-288) and in 2016 Rosnow earned All-NCAC First-Team honors - Spent three seasons (2008-11) as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Connecticut College, helping the Camels great success in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). - Worked one season as an assistant coach at Adrian College (Michigan) - A 2005 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American and as a First-Team All-NESCAC honoree as a goalie, averaging 13.4 saves per game in the cage. - 2005 graduate of Connecticut College with a degree in biology.
