Coaching Staff (5)

Shalee Rodriguez

Head Coach

Shalee Rodriguez joined Oklahoma Christian’s coaching staff as an assistant coach on July 13, 2018, after two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Southern Nazarene, and was named as the Eagles' third head coach on June 11, 2021. Rodriguez completed her fifth season at the helm of the OC program following the 2026 spring season. The Newcastle, Okla., coaching product has produced 31 All-Conference recipients during her time in Edmond: 14 First Team members, seven Second Team selections and 10 Third Team honorees. In 2026, the Eagles' six First Team honorees - Jill Dickson, Kallie Rupp, Kadence Brewster, Kiley Brewster, Ella Resendiz and Marti Yaerger - are the most OC has ever had since joining the LSC. In 2026, Rodriguez delivered the best of her five seasons, reaching a DII program-record 43 wins while also leading her team to its second South Central Super Regionals appearance in three seasons. The historic season brought historic postseason accolades to Rodriguez's program, as OC saw 16 all-conference honors - six First Team members (program record), two Second Team members, one All-Freshman honoree, five Golden Glove recipients and an All-Academic nod. The Eagles continued with their award haul with four Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Region honorees - Dickson, Rupp, Ka. Brewster and Resendiz - three National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region performers - Dickson, Rupp and Ka. Brewster - while Rupp (Second Team) became the program's first NFCA All-America selection since 2021 (Kali Crandall, Second Team) and first All-American by any publication since 2022 (Aaliyah Brown, Second Team).   On the back of OC's eighth consecutive 30-win season in 2025 - the only Lone Star Conference program to reach such a feat during the NCAA DII era - Rodriguez matched her most conference wins (29) in her four years with the program, the Eagles made the South Central Region-1 Final for the second straight year. Oklahoma Christian has reached the NCAA postseason every year under Rodriguez and six straight years (not counting 2020's shortened season). Following the 2024 season, Rodriguez led the Eagles to their fifth consecutive 35-win season (not counting 2020's shortened season) and fourth straight 20-win conference season. In 2024, Rodriguez's squad delivered the program's first ever NCAA Division II South Central Region Title and a berth in the DII Super Regionals after defeating then-No. 1 and region-host West Texas A&M, 9-8.  2023 saw Oklahoma Christian post its at-the-time most Lone Star wins for a single season with a 29-13 mark. The Eagles finished as Lone Star Conference Tournament Runners-Up before making their at-the-time second straight trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The then-27-year-old enjoyed immediate success in her new role, guiding OC to a 39-15 record and a berth in the NCAA Division II tournament during her first season in 2022. Along the way, the Eagles set a school record by winning 22 straight games and they finished the 2022 campaign with 17 straight wins at home. During her first season as an assistant coach with the Eagles, OC won a share of the Heartland Conference's regular-season title and the conference tournament and made its first NCAA Division II tournament appearance, knocking off two ranked foes en route to a regional runner-up finish as a No. 8 seed. OC was 21-5 during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season and went 38-9 during the 2021 campaign, rising as high as No. 4 in the NCAA Division II coaches' poll and earning the No. 1 seed in the South Central Regional tournament. At SNU, the Newcastle, Okla., product was part of a staff that guided the Crimson Storm to the Great American Conference postseason tournament title game in 2018. Then known as Shalee Cordell, Rodriguez started for four seasons as a player at Oklahoma Baptist, twice receiving All-Region selection at the NAIA level for the Bison and twice receiving first-team All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors. In 2014, she made the SAC's Gold Glove list and as a senior in 2015, she earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. She also received the NAIA's Champion of Character award both in 2014 and 2015. She set OBU records for single-season hits (75) and career doubles (51) and led the SAC in stolen bases in 2015 with 26. During her collegiate playing career, she had 224 hits, including 14 home runs, and 119 RBIs. She graduated from OBU in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and earned her master's degree in sports administration from East Central in 2017. Rodriguez is married to Kalon Rodriguez. The couple had their first child, their daughter Raylee, on July 29, 2024. Bailey McKittrick

Coach

Bailey McKittrick completed her second year on staff at Oklahoma Christian after the 2024-25 season. McKittrick offered assistance to Eagle pitchers during the 2023 season before joining the OC coaching ranks as the pitching coach in 2024. In 2025, Oklahoma Christian reached its second straight South Central Sub-region Final on the backs of its two pitchers Jill Dickson and Grace Anderson. Dickson and Anderson were the only teammates in the Lone Star Conference to each record at least 175 strikeouts on the season. Anderson finished her OC career fifth all-time in career strikeouts with 432 while Dickson is currently third with 500. As a pitching staff, OC held a league-fourth-best 3.27 ERA. Under her direction as the pitching coach during the 2024 campaign, the Eagles held a team ERA of 3.40. Starting pitchers Dickson and Anderson were recognized as First Team and Third Team All-Lone Star Conference recipients, respectively, as the duo combined to go 31-20 in the circle as both pitchers claimed 120 or more strikeouts on the season. Under McKittrick's guidance, Dickson and Anderson helped lead the Eagles to the program's first ever berth in the NCAA Division II Super Regionals after defeating then-No. 1 West Texas A&M and region-host West Texas A&M, 9-8. McKittrick, a native of Moore, Okla., was a prep standout pitcher at Moore High School, where she earned All-State honors as a senior after holding a 1.67 ERA, leading the Lions to become 6A Runners-Up for a second consecutive season. The Sooner State product spent her college career at the University of Central Oklahoma, putting together an incredible rookie season in 2019, after which she was awarded the MIAA Pitcher of the Year, the Division II Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-America by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. During that season, McKittrick posted a UCO freshman-record 26 wins in the circle while carrying a 2.11 ERA, striking out 108 batters compared to just 51 walks in 179.1 innings. To cap off that season on the field, McKittrick threw a five-hit shutout in a win against Minnesota-Duluth, 4-0, in the first round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional. After making a combined 22 appearances over the next two seasons due to injuries, McKittrick graduated from Central Oklahoma in May 2022 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Following her time with the Bronchos, McKittrick served as Oklahoma Christian's graduate assistant during the '23 season before graduating with a Masters in Leadership from OC in December 2023.
