Withus helped Reed Mathews to school records in the 100 and 200 fly as Mathews qualfied for the NCAA Championships and finished is ODU career with a 17th place finish in the 200 fly at the NCAA Championships. In the 2014-15 season, Withus led the Monarch men's squad to a second place finish at the Conference USA Championships and was named C-USA Coach of the Year. The 2013-14 season saw Withus help Sidni Hoxha to three Conference USA first place finishes and a berth to the NCAA Championships. During the 2012-13 season, Withus helped mens swimmer Sidni Hoxha earn CAA Swimmer of the Year. Under her guidance, Hoxha qualified for the NCAA Championships where he competed in the 50 and 100 free. At the 2013 CAA Championships, Withus squad set an astonishing 15 school records and won 13 medals. Lady Monarch Kimberley Rashleigh secured six gold medals while Hoxha was named Co-Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet. Outside the pool, Withus Lady Monarchs achieved Scholar All American status for the Fall 2012 semester. Withus has earned the CAA Coach of the Year honor four times, including garnering the award in 2006 season on the men's side. She also guided the 1997-98 men's team to a perfect 12-0 record and it's first ever CAA Championship. The men's squad in 2008 also capped off a perfect season with a 10-0 record. Withus has also coached the most prolific swimmer in CAA history, Mary Kay Bolduc, who became the first athlete (male or female) to win four CAA Swimmer of the Year honors (1995-99). Former Monarch Kara Fichtorn won the same title during her tenure (1999-03) with the team, giving Old Dominion and Withus the honor of having the CAA's best female swimmer in five of the last nine years. More recently, Withus coached the 2009 CAA Men's Swimmer and Rookie of the Year and 2008 Icelandic Olympian in Arni Arnason. Arnason was chosen as the 2011 CAA Men's Swimmer of the Year and the 2011 CAA Championship's Most Outstanding Swimmer. In 2012, Arnason swam the 50-meter freestyle for Iceland in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Withus has also coached another two-time Olympian in current ODU swimmer, Sidni Hoxha. Hoxha swam the 50 freestyle for his native country, Albania, in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2010, Hoxha was named the CAA Rookie of the Year. One year later, Hoxha competed in the 2012 Olympic Games in London for the 100 freestyle. Before beginning her Old Dominion career, Withus was the head women's coach at New York University, where she compiled a 55-12 record. She coached eight NCAA All-Americans, was named Coach of the Year by the Metropolitan Conference in 1992 and took second in the Metropolitan Conference Championships with a 10-1 record during her final year at NYU. A native of White Plains, NY, Withus graduated from Adelphi University in 1985 with a degree in physical education. She received her master's degree in physical education from Ohio University in 1986. Elisabeth Ray is in her second season as an assistant swimming coach at Old Dominion.Ray helped lead the men's swimming team to a third place finish at the CCSA Championships which was the highest finish for them since 2019. She also helped lead the women's team to its first CCSA Championship where they placed eighth. Ray joins ODU after spending the previous four years as a swim coach of the Old Dominion Aquatic Club. In her role she coached a variety of age groups technical training, strength and conditioning workouts and in-meet coaching. She was selected as a coach for the Virginia Swimming Eastern Zones Team twice and served as a member of the coaching staff at the Naval Academy's swim camps A graduate of Old Dominion, Ray was also the team manager the previous four seasons at ODU.

Jess Livsey was named the Old Dominion men's and women's swimming head coach in August of 2019. She enters her fifth season has the head coach for the Monarchs In the 2022-23 season Livsey helped lead the men's swimming team to a third place finish at the CCSA Championships in which was the highest finish for them since 2019. She also helped lead the women's team to its first CCSA Championship where they placed eighth. Noah Wilkins was invited to the National Invatational Championships where he placed top 20 in three events. Tara Enneking also broke a pool record at George Mason in the women's 200 IM with a time of 2:03.43. In her first season, she guided Filip Svedberg to his third conference championship in four years, and helped the Monarchs to a fourth place team finish at the CCSA Championships.Jacqueline Tinneny set a school record in the 1650 freestyle and finished second at the Conference USA Championships, while Jacklyn VandePoel took third in the 100 backstroke.In 2012-13, Miller helped Sidni Hoxha qualify for the NCAA Championships in the 50 and 100 free en route to being named CAA Swimmer of the Year. Additionally, Miller guided Lady Monarch Kimberley Rashleigh to six gold medals at the CAA Championships, where the Monarchs set a remarkable fifteen school records and accumulated thirteen medals total. On land, Miller oversaw the women’s swimming and diving team that achieved Scholar All American status for the Fall 2012 semester.Miller returns to Old Dominion after spending three seasons as an assistant coach for the Davidson Wildcat swimming and diving program. While at Davidson, Miller coached the distance swimmers, headed up recruiting efforts, and oversaw a majority of competition logistics.Prior to Davidson, Miller served a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa, where she was responsible primarily for recruiting and the training program, with a focus on distance swimmers.Miller also spent six seasons with the Northern Virginia Swim League, leading her team to a division championship in 2002. In 2003, she was named the NVSL Coach of the Year.A 2004 graduate of Old Dominion, Miller was a four-year letter winner in the breaststroke and distance freestyle events and a four-year CAA finalist in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
