Kelly Seibt

Head Coach

Kelly Seibt (‘11) took over the program in the 2021-22 season after serving as an assistant coach with the program for seven seasons.   In her first season, Seibt led the team to the NJCAA Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota after earning an automatic bid, clinching the Region III title. The team made it to the Elite 8 before falling to eventual the National Runner-Up. Seibt coached first-team All-American, Region III Player of the Year, and MSAC Player of the Year, Macey DeOrdio (‘23), Region III second-team and MSAC All-Conference, Hannah Durand (‘23), and Region III third-team, Zhane Holmes (‘23). She was also named the 2021-22 Region III Coach of the Year and the 2021-22 MSAC Coach of the Year.  In 2022-23, Seibt led the team back to the NJCAA Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota this time with an at-large bid.  The team compiled a 17-9 record after making it to the Region III final for a third-consecutive season. In 2022-23, Seibt coached third-team All-American, Region III first-team, and MSAC Player of the Year, Hannah Durand (‘23), Region III first-team and MSAC All-Conference, Macey DeOrdio (‘23), Region III second-team and MSAC All-Conference, Zhane Holmes (‘23), and MSAC All-Conference, Ryleigh Endres (‘24).  In 23-24, Seibt led the Lazers to 29-4 and another National Tournament appearance as the No. 3 seed, and bringing home 6th place back to Syracuse. A 26-8 record in 2024-25 earned the Lazers an at-large bid as the No. 11 seed in the National Tournament. The Lazers advanced to the quarterfinal after a win over Owens Community College in the first round. The Lazers earned a 6th place finish at the tournament for the second straight season. Seibt led OCC to their 5th straight tournament appearance in 25-26 after a 23-4 regular season, securing 6th at the tournament. The 25-26 squad earned an MSAC Co-Championship title. Seibt (formally Kelly Grinnell) is a 2009 Auburn High School graduate. As a Maroon, she played 4 years on the varsity basketball team and served as a captain for 3 years. In her senior year she joined the 1,000 point club and ended her high school career with 1,197 points, making her the 4th highest scoring player in Auburn Girls Basketball history. She also earned honorable mention, second team, and first team CNYCL American honors from 2007-2009 respectively. In summer of 2008, she was a member of the Central girl’s basketball team at the Empire State Games, winning a silver medal.   In 2009 she attended Roberts Wesleyan, where she was a starter on the women’s basketball team and earned a spot on the American Mideast Conference All-Freshman Team. The year following, she transferred to Onondaga Community College where she played her sophomore season under head coach Mike Wheeler. As a player for the Lazers, she helped the team win a Mid-State Athletic Conference championship, and runner up in the Region III tournament finishing the season with a record of 29-3. She completed her associate degree in Exercise Science at OCC. Seibt then transferred onto SUNY Brockport and played on the women’s basketball team her junior and senior seasons (2011-2013), where she started every game and scored over 300 points as a Golden Eagle. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology in 2013.  In 2014 she made it back to Onondaga hill when she was named an assistant coach for her alma mater. She helped guide the women’s basketball team to a 160-35 record, including 5 Mid-State Athletic Conference championships and 1 Region III championship. Aside from her coaching duties, Coach Seibt was also the OCC Women’s Basketball summer camp director where she ran a week long camp every summer for kids aged 7-17 for 6 years.  Coach Seibt coached in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) for the Syracuse Nets from 2013 to 2019 and also coached a youth organization in Cayuga County (K-8th) from 2013 to 2015.  She currently works on main campus at OCC in the Financial Aid Department as a Financial Aid Tech Specialist. She and her husband Brandon Seibt, OCC Men’s Basketball alum (‘12), reside in Auburn, NY with their daughter, Lileigh, and their two dogs, Sophie and Hope.

Ginny Marasco

Head Coach

Ginny Marasco joined Onondaga as the Head Competitive Cheer Coach in September of 2024. Marasco brings decades of experience to OCC with time spent as a judge and coach. She has spent time as a NYS and All-Star Judge, Head Coach at Chittenango High School, worked with Chenango Cougar All-Star program, and was heavily involved with the Pop Warner Little Scholars.    "I have been involved in cheer since I coached my first Pop Warner team a whole lot of years ago.  The sport we see today has evolved in so many ways since then and I like to think I have not only kept up but been an active participant in its growth.  I have never missed an opportunity to continue to grow and educate myself in those changes and share my passion for not only this sport but the many life lessons we can take from our participation." She remains active on the regional & national level of Pop Warner Little Scholars as well as high school cheer. She is also a certified New York State High School certified cheer judge and spend some of her spare time judging around the state.

Greg Kielar

Head Coach

Greg Kielar took over Onondaga's Cross Country program beginning the 2024 season. Kielar assisted the program alongside previous Head Coach Rob Colvin since 2020. Kielar brings a vast deal of devotion and knowledge to the program having been a Division II runner at East Carolina University and his development of the 'Couch to 5K' program for adults and adolescents during his time with the YMCA.   Kielar led the Men’s program to an MSAC Championship in his first season (2024) as well as a Region 3 Championship with MSAC Runner of the Year, Region 3 Runner of the Year, and All-American Paul Clark. Kielar was titled MSAC Coach of the Year and Region 3 Coach of the Year. The Lazers earned a 4th place finish at the National Championship in Richmond, VA where Clark finished 5th out of 100 runners.   Kielar continued his success in his second season (2025) earning another Region 3 Championship and MSAC and Region 3 Coach of the Year title. He coached Paul Clark to his second consecutive MSAC and Region 3 Runner of the Year title as well.
