Cophie Anderson

Head Coach

Cophie Anderson was named the 12th head coach of the the ORU Women’s Basketball program on March 31, 2025, after serving as the associate head coach of the program for three years.   In her inaugural season as head coach, Anderson led the team to a 15-15 overall record, finishing fourth in the Summit League with an 8-8 mark. ORU advanced to the Summit League Championship quarterfinals.   The Golden Eagles received five All-League honors, with Jalei Oglesby earning All-Summit League Second Team honors, Ari Gordon being named to the All-Defensive Team, Kayten Donley earning All-Freshman Team honors and Anna Trusty being named to the All-Newcomer Team and receiving honorable mention recognition. Oglesby also earned a spot on the Academic All-League Team and CSC Academic All-District Team.   Oral Roberts finished the season leading the Summit League in bench points per game (20.4) and ranked 31st nationally in scoring offense (76.2). ORU also led the league with 9.7 steals per game and 18.87 turnovers forced per game.   The 2025-26 slate featured nonconference wins over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Idaho, Idaho State and North Texas, along with Summit League victories over South Dakota, St. Thomas and Denver. In 2024-25, the Golden Eagles finished the year 24-9 and were selected into the WBIT, marking consecutive 20-win seasons for the program for first time since 2010-12. She helped the Golden Eagles grow in each of her three seasons as associate head coach, winning 12 games in her first season, 21 in the second and 24 this past season, their highest win total since 1983. The squad also took down SEC foes Arkansas and Missouri.  In her three seasons on staff, she has been a part of three nationally ranked scoring offenses, ranking in the top 20 in each of her three seasons and top 10 in both 2023-24 and 2024-25. During the 2023-24 season, Anderson helped coach ORU to their first 20-win season since 2011-12 and first post-season appearance since 2015. Five Golden Eagles Anderson help recruit earned Summit League post-season awards that year including Freshman of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Sixth Woman of the Year and a Summit League First Team and Second Team selection. Before coming to ORU, Anderson began coaching at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2009 where she was pivotal in the turnaround of the program that included seven NCAA Division II national tournament appearances and four Great American Conference Tournament Championships, including an appearance in the national title game. The Lady Bulldogs’ best season in 2018-19 included a 35-game win streak as SWOSU advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championship game before finishing as the national runner-up. Anderson has mentored five players who were named All-Americans and four GAC Players of the Year along with 27 players who have earned all-conference recognition. In her final season on staff, the team averaged 82.1 points per game, ranking third in the nation. The Lady Bulldogs ranked in the Top 10 nationally in scoring offense in seven of her nine seasons, averaging more than 80 points per game in five of those years. As a player, Anderson was a guard/forward at Fresno State University from 2001-05. She was a three-time selection to the Western Athletic Conference All-Academic team and was selected as one of the school's scholar athletes multiple times. At Fresno State, she was a member of two Bulldog teams that advanced to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) in 2002 and 2005. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. A native of Arlington, Texas, Anderson (formerly Moore) is married to Wayne Anderson. The couple has three children, Cameron, Carringtyn and Creed.

Bill Annan

Associate Head Coach

Annan joins the Oral Roberts staff after 13 seasons at Oklahoma State University where he served as the Cowgirls’ associate head coach for nine seasons. Prior to, he was the program’s assistant coach for two seasons as well as director of player development when he began his stint in 2009. During his time at OSU, the Cowgirls made six NCAA Championship appearances, including a Sweet 16 run in 2014 and captured the program's first WNIT title in 2012. Annan played vital roles in recruiting all six of OSU’s WNBA draft picks and helped coach seven different Cowgirls to All-American honors. He coached two Big 12 Players of the Year, a Big 12 Freshman of the Year and three Big 12 Newcomers of the Year.   In 2020-21, the Cowgirls reached the second round of the NCAA tournament and produced the second national award winner in program history in Natasha Mack, who claimed WBCA Defensive Player of the Year and Naismith Defensive Player of the Year honors. From 2013-16, the Cowgirls had four-straight season NCAA tournament appearances. Annan helped the Cowgirls sign Top 20 recruit Brittney Martin in 2012, according to ESPN.com's HoopGurlz, and acquire other national Top 100 recruits on eight other occasions. Prior to OSU, Annan was head coach at Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, Kansas. His tenure resulted in a career record of 303-109. Under his leadership, the Lady Blues won three state titles in 1996, 1999 and 2009. The program won 11 Centennial League titles in 18 years and made nine state tournament appearances. Annan is a three-time Kansas Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year as well as a seven-time pick for conference coach of the year. He was named the Topeka Capital-Journal City Coach of the Year five times. He was the publication's state coach of the year twice and was named the Kansas Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1999. He began his coaching career in 1986 at Seaman High School in Kansas for the boys’ team where he served five seasons as an assistant. Annan received his bachelor's in business education from Kansas State in 1986, before receiving his master's in educational administration from Kansas State in 1993. He is married to his wife, Marcia, and together they have two sons, Trent (and his wife Rozlyn) and Grant. He also has three granddaughters, Kate, Clare, and Grace, the daughters of Trent and Rozlyn.

Wayne Anderson

Assistant Coach

Wayne Anderson enters his third season as the Director of Operations and Assistant Coach for the Oral Roberts women’s basketball team. Anderson brought eight years of collegiate coaching experience to the Golden Eagle staff.   Prior to joining the ORU staff, Anderson served as the Founder/Director of 3T Training LLC, which is a skill development program that is designed to improve individual basketball skills.   In his collegiate coaching career, Anderson has made stops as an assistant at Southwestern Oklahoma State (2008-2013) and Central Oklahoma (2005-2008). Anderson also spent time as a head coach at the high school level at Cornerstone Christian Academy, where he led both the boys and girls varsity teams.   A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Anderson is the all-time leading scorer (2,945) at Cornerstone Christian Academy and was a two-year starter at Northern Oklahoma College-Enid. He earned his bachelor’s degree in General Studies in 2007 from Central Oklahoma before receiving his master’s in education in 2008.   Anderson is married to his wife and ORU Associate Head Coach, Cophie Anderson, and the couple has three children, Cameron, Carringtyn and Creed.

Hayden Priddy

Assistant Coach

Hayden Priddy enters her third season as an assistant coach on the Oral Roberts women's basketball staff. Priddy played under Coach Musick from 2015-19 at Southwestern Oklahoma State. At SWOSU, she was a four-year starter and a consensus First Team All-American in 2019. Priddy's name is all over the SWOSU record book as she is the third highest scorer in program history as well as the second highest scorer in the Great American Conference. In 2019, she was the GAC Player of the Year and the Division II Central Region Player of the Year. She was named the Jim Thorpe AAU Athlete of the Year in 2019 as well.   Most recently she was an assistant coach at Madill (OK) High School. A graduate of Piedmont (OK) High School, Priddy was named to the Large All-State Girls Basketball team by the Oklahoma Coaches Association. She was a dual sport athlete in high school, she lettered in track & field and basketball.
