Michael Bonitatibus

Assistant Coach

Bonitatibus enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Pace men's lacrosse team. Bonitatibus comes in with a wealth of experience as a lacrosse coach, working with the X10 Mountain Lacrosse Academy, Coast 2 Coast Lacrosse, and the No Limit Lacrosse Team. For those organizations, his responsibilities have included scheduling, organizing practices and drills, and team meteings. As a player, Bonitatibus was part of the NCAA Division I Championship team with the Greyhounds in 2012, making a save in the national title tile against Maryland. As a junior, he went 2-0 in eight games with a 6.62 Goals Against Average. Bonitatibus went to Loyola following a standout career a Yorktown High School where he was All-Section and All-League in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Dan Mulholland

Assistant Coach

Mulholland enters his second season as a Pace Men's Lacrosse Assistant Coach after returning to the sidelines in August 2014. Mulholland started the mens lacrosse program at Pace in 1983 and led the team to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship in 1999. Mulholland brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Setters. From 1965-67, he played varsity lacrosse at SUNY Brockport. Upon graduation he moved into coaching and served as the head junior varsity coach at Yorktown High School from 1970-73. In 1976, Mulholland took over as the head coach for the Ardsley High School club team, before becoming the head varsity coach at Sleepy Hollow High School from 1977-78. In 1981, Mulholland took the reins of the Peekskill High School program for two seasons. Mulholland has posted over 400 career wins in high school and college.   Mulholland established the program at Pace in 1983 and was elevated to varsity status in 1986. Mulholland guided the team to a 104-77 record in 14 varsity seasons from 1986-99. His best season with the Setters came in 1999 when he led the team to a 14-1 record and an NE-10 Regular Season and Tournament Championship. For his efforts, he was named the NE-10 and Division II National Coach of the Year.   Following his Pace coaching stint, Mulholland went on to coach at Manhattanville College from 2000-07 and Mount Saint Vincent College from 2008-14. At Manhattanville, he guided the Valiants to 35 wins and while with the Dolphins, he led the program to 41 victories.   Mulholland earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from SUNY Brockport in 1968 and 69. He received his BA in Education and his Masters in History.

Rob Cornetta

Assistant Coach

Cornetta returns for his seventh year as an assistant coach for the men's lacrosse program and his sixth year as the Assistant Facilities Manager. He was hired to the position in February 2011 after working in facilities for the athletic department for the previous four years. He is responsible for the care, maintenance and upkeep of all university athletic fields and surrounding grounds. Cornetta also attended Pace University for his undergraduate studies from 2003-2007 and was a member of the lacrosse team all four years. In his senior year, Cornetta started in all 14 games for the Setters. He earned All-Conference, All-Academic First Team in the NE-10 Conference in 2007. He also received the NCAA Sportsmanship award in his senior year. Cornetta graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences in 2007. He earned his Masters in Adolescent Education from Pace University in 2009. Cornetta is originally from Huntington Station, NY. He now resides in Pleasantville, NY with his wife Tori.

Tom Mariano

Coach

Mariano enters his third season as the Head Coach for the Pace Men's Lacrosse program. Mariano has a distinguished background as both a player and coach throughout his career. He comes to Pace from The Ohio Machine of Major League Lacrosse where he was the assistant coach and defensive coordinator.   In 2015, Mariano led the Setters to their first NE-10 Conference Tournament since the 2010 season. Additionally, the Setters went on to win the ECAC Championship after defeating the Mercy Mavericks 12-9. Mariano coached four players that were named to the NE-10 All-Conference squads. Brandon Donnellan earned NE-10 Second Team honors while Anthony Gadaleta and Liam Brennan each picked up NE-10 All-Rookie Team nominations. Also, freshman phenom Wyatt Barfoot earned NE-10 Rookie of the Year after ranking eighth in the conference with 51 points and 6th with 22 assists during his freshman campaign. Marianos college experience includes a successful career as the Head Mens Lacrosse Coach at Sacred Heart University for 17 years. As the head coach, he oversaw the recruiting efforts, initiated the transition of the lacrosse program from Division II to Division I as well as the move from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to the Colonial Athletic Association, which is one of the premier college lacrosse conferences in the country, and the eventual move to the Northeast Conference. Mariano and his staff annually produced a team that was a strong influence in the community and also carried a 3.0 team GPA. He had a successful 2013 campaign as the NEC Coach of the Year as his team qualified for the 2013 NEC playoffs. In total, Mariano has coached 70 all-conference players throughout his collegiate coaching career. Mariano received his Masters Degree in Teaching with a concentration in Elementary Education in 2000 from Sacred Heart University. He is a 1994 graduate of Nazareth College in Rochester, NY with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. While at Nazareth, he was a member of the 1992 NCAA Division III Mens Lacrosse National Championship team.
