Alex Hood
Head Coach
Bio Alex Hood completed his first season as head coach at Penn State Brandywine in 2025. Hood joined the Brandywine coaching staff as an assistant before being elevated to head coach prior to the 2025 campaign. Hood guided Brandywine to a pair of victories during its second season as a member of the NCAA. Hood was a five-year member of the Division I men’s soccer team at St. Joseph’s, appearing in more than 50 matches for the Hawks from 2019-23. During his time at St. Joseph’s, Hood was a meber of the Student-Athlete Advisory Commitee and served on the executive board of the Adams Minority Student-Athlete Coalition. In addition, Hood was the president of Hawk-Minded, an organization run by student-athletes that worked to break the stigma surrounding mental health in sports. Since 2016, Hood has worked as the director of Find the 90 LLC, coaching soccer players from the youth through professional levels. His coaching has included player-specific long-term development planning, individual and group trainings, youth camps and youth club consulting. Also a coach at The Player Project, a local soccer organization, Hood has been working with youth soccer players and mentoring new coaches. Hood, who is in the process of completing his U.S. Soccer C License, currently resides in Philadelphia.

Khaj Panossian
Assistant Coach
Bio Khaj Panossian completed his first season as a member of the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer staff in 2025. Panossian was a member of Penn State Brandywine's (then Penn State Delco) men's soccer team that finished as the runner-up in the Commonwealth Campus Athletic Conference. Panossian went on to earn his degree in finance from Penn State and currently serves as president of The Blake Agency, Inc.

Bio Dan Marcolongo finished his first season as an assistant coach on the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer staff in 2025. Marcolongo played four seasons of soccer at Delaware Valley University from 2018-21. He earned his Master's Degree from Georgetown University in 2025.

Bio Emmet Young completed his first year as an assistant coach at Penn State Brandywine in 2025. Young is a graduate of nearby Strath Haven High School. He was a three-year member of the men's soccer team at Juniata from 2021-23.

Micah Collins was named head men's soccer coach at Penn State Brandywine in January 2025. Collins brought coaching experience at the NCAA Division I and III levels to Brandywine, most recently at Michigan State University. From 2018-19, Collins served as an assistant coach for both the Spartans mens and womens teams, primarily working with the goalkeepers. Prior to joining the staff at Michigan State, Collins spent 2017-18 as a womens soccer assistant coach at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. He helped the Bruins to one of the most successful seasons in program history as the team won six conference matches and earned the No. 4 seed in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The owner of a United States Soccer Federation National A-Senior License, United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma and United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma, Collins began his collegiate coaching career at Division III Greenville University in 2015. While at Greenville, Collins earned his Master of Art degree in coaching in 2016. Collins played five years of Division I college soccer. After beginning his collegiate career at Villanova, he transferred to Penn State, where he was a goalkeeper for the Nittany Lions from 2010-13. An Academic All-Big Ten performer and two-time Big Ten champion, Collins received his bachelors degree in engineering science and mechanics in 2013. Since creating The Player Project in 2019, Collins has served as the organizations executive director. As the executive director, Collins manages soccer camps and clinics throughout the Philadelphia area and coaches local youth through individual and small-group trainings, while also running free programs for high-needs areas of Philadelphia. Collins oversees a staff of more than 35 coaches and a board of directors. In addition, Collins currently serves as a coach developer with the United Soccer Coaches and has mentored over 200 coaches. From 2020-24, Collins worked as a Philadelphia Union Academy goalkeeper coach and was the youth program director in 2020-21.
