Randy Douglas

Head Coach

Douglas has 28 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, coaching both mens and womens soccer teams. He was the head soccer coach at Tennessee Temple University from 1993-97, winning an NCCAA Region Championship in 1993 and placing fourth at the National Tournament that same year. While pursuing his masters degree, Coach Douglas also accepted a position as an assistant coach at Bryan University. At Bryan he coached on two NAIA regional championship teams, as well as a conference championship team in 1998. Douglas is a 1987 graduate of Tennessee Temple University where he finished up with a degree in business administration. He went on to pursue a masters degree in sports administration from the United States Sports Academy in 1999. He then moved on to Atlanta Christian College in 2000 to take over the Men's Program and held that position from 2000-2012 and was name NCCAA Division II South Region Coach of the Year twice. Beginning the 2001 season Coach Douglas started the Women's Soccer Program at Atlanta Christian College and was head coach of both programs through the 2012 season. The Women's Team won the NCCAA Division II South Region Championship in 2002 and 2011 and Douglas received the Region Coach of the Year in 2011. The Women's Team earned four trips to the NCCAA Division II National Tournament and were National Runners--Up in 2002 and 2011. In 2012 Atlanta Christian College moved to West Point, GA and was renamed Point University and joined the Appalachian Athletic Conference and the NAIA. In only their third season in the conference the Skyhawks made it to the conference tournament semi-finals. 2016 saw the Skyhawks battling for the conference crown but finished second with a conference record of 8-2 as Coach Douglas was named Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. The team would have another top 5 finish in conference in 2018 and in 2021 the Skyhawks would finish the season on a six match winning streak to finish tied for fourth (out of fifteen) in conference.
