Assistant Coach
Sisson comes to Pomona-Pitzer from Springfield College where she served as the assistant swimming coach from 2013 to 2015. During her time at Springfield she was a part of coaching nine NCAA qualifiers, two All-Americans and one National Champion. Sisson earned a Master's of Social Work degree from Springfield College in 2015 after earning her bachelor's of science degree at Springfield in 2012. As a swimmer, she was an NCAA B-cut qualifier in distance events and a member of two NEWMAC Championship teams.

Jean-Paul Gowdy
Coach
Gowdy has directed the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Swimming and Diving team to four second-place finishes in the SCIAC and most recently earned his first SCIAC Championship for the women's team in 2016. and the Men's Swimming and Diving team to a pair of third-place finishes and three second-place finishes in 2014, 2015 and 2016, the first runner-up finishes for the program since 1999. In his brief tenure, Gowdy has been at the helm to see 32 of a possible 38 school records broken in swimming (17 of 19 for the women, 15 of 19 for the men). On the women's side, he has helped Alex Lincoln to a sweep of the women's sprint freestyle records (50, 100, 200), Mia Hahn to both backstroke records, Maki Tohmon to records in the 100 fly, 200 breast and the 200 IM, Kelsey Thomas to records in the 1000 and 1650, Ellena Basada to a 400 IM mark, Kara Miller-Radest to the 200 fly record, and a clean sweep of the five relay records. In 2014 and 2015, the Sagehen 800-free relay team qualified for nationals and earned honorable mention All-America status, while breaking the SCIAC meet record in 2015. On the men's side, Gowdy has coached two Men's All-Americans in Max Scholten (2012) and Mark Hallman (2015). Hallman swam in seven events at the 2015 SCIAC Championships and set school records in all seven (three individual, four relay) while sweeping the 100 and 200 free. He earned All-America honors in the 200 free with a seventh-place finish. During his senior season in 2011-12, Scholten set new school records in the 100 and 200 back and the 200 IM, while falling .03 shy of breaking the mark in the 50 free. Gowdy has also coached Nathan Yale (100) and Kyle Dalrymple (200) to breaststroke records, Samuel To to 100 fly and 200 IM records, Tommy Turner to a new mark in the 1000 free, as well as all five relay records. Gowdy came to Pomona-Pitzer after serving as the Head Men's and Women's Swim and Dive Coach at Wheaton College (Mass.) for eight years. At Wheaton, Coach Gowdy presided over programs that improved from last place in conference to fourth for the men, and from eigth place to third for the women. During his tenure, Gowdy coached six NCAA All-American swimmers, as well as seven NCAA invitees, 12 NCAA qualifiers, two individual conference record holders, and four conference relay holders. In addition to his responsibilities as the head coach, Gowdy served as the Aquatics Director, overseeing every aspect of the aquatic center. Prior to coaching at Wheaton College, Coach Gowdy received his master's degree at Springfield College (Mass.) and served as the Graduate Assistant Coach from 2002-2003. During his time at Springfield, Gowdy served as a Physical Education Graduate Fellow in addition to his coaching responsibilities. Coach Gowdy is a 1999 graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, where he was a two-time MVP of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), a 17-time All-American, and a National Champion in the 400 IM.

King qualified for the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Nationals. King has been a dive coach for the last three years coaching both high school and club diving for all ages.
