Mario Longo
Assistant Coach
Longo begins his third season at Post University in 2013. He will assist head coach Bill Ferrare with all aspects of the cross country and track and field programs. In his first season as assistant coach at Post University, he helped the womens squad to a seventh place finish at the CACC Championship. The mens team finished 11th at the meet. William Ferrare
Assistant Coach
Ferrare begins his fourth season guiding the mens and womens cross country programs at Post University. In his first three seasons leading the programs, he helped Post compete in the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship for the first time in program history. Ferrare will also led the men's and women's track and field teams in their first year of competion in 2013-14. In 2013-14, Ferrare mentored the first ECAC Runner of the Week in program history in John Ducham. He also coached three individual medalists at the 2014 CACC Track and Field Championships in Valerie Moore (100m), Stephen Perry Jr. (100m), and Patrick Alves (800m). With over a decade of scholastic coaching experience at Crosby and Kennedy high schools, Ferrare moved to the collegiate level in 2011. In his first season at Post, he guided the womens squad to a seventh place finish at the CACC Championship. The mens team finished 11th at the meet. During his scholastic coaching career he trained Lisa Stublic at Crosby high school. Stublic will compete in the marathon at the 2012 London Olympics. Stublic will be the first-ever Croatian female to compete in the event. As a student-athlete at Southern Connecticut State, Ferrare was a two-year captain in both cross country and track and field for the Owls. As a junior, he competed in the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship. In addition to his position at Post, Ferrare is a physical education and health teacher at Kennedy high school. He graduated with a bachelors degree in physical education from Southern Connecticut State. Ferrare also obtained a masters degree in health education from Southern Connecticut State.
