Potomac State College of WVU Men's Cross Country

Baylee Jarrett returns to Potomac State following a decorated two-year career with the Catamounts, where she earned NJCAA Region 20 All-Region honors in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons. During her time as a student-athlete, Jarrett was an integral part of Potomac State's women's cross country program, helping the Catamounts capture the NJCAA Region 20 Women's Cross Country Championship in 2025, marking the program's fourth consecutive Region 20 championship. Now, Jarrett will transition from competitor to coach, bringing firsthand experience and a familiar perspective back to the program. "We are excited to welcome Baylee back to Potomac State in a new role," said Head Coach Chris Biser. "She had a tremendous career as a student-athlete here, and she understands what it takes to compete at a high level. Her experience as an All-Region runner, along with her familiarity with our program and the expectations we have for our student-athletes, will be a great asset to our team." Jarrett's return provides the Catamounts with a coach who knows the program from the inside out and has experienced the team's championship culture firsthand. "I am extremely excited to be back at Potomac State and have the opportunity to give back to a program that has meant so much to me," said Jarrett. "I am looking forward to working with the team and helping the next group of Catamount runners reach their goals both on and off the course." As an assistant coach, Jarrett will assist with the day-to-day development of the Catamount cross country program while helping guide Potomac State's student-athletes as they continue to build upon the program's recent success. After two seasons of representing the Catamounts on the course, Jarrett now returns to Potomac State with a new role and a new opportunity to help shape the next generation of Catamount runners.
