Daniel Dulin

Head Coach

Prairie View A&M University Athletics has announced the hiring of Daniel Dulin as the head coach of the Panthers baseball program, bringing to the Hill more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience and a proven record of success at both the NCAA Division I and junior college levels. Dulin joins PVAMU from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where he served as an assistant coach and continued to build his reputation as a strong recruiter, developer of talent, and championship-driven coach. Known for his attention to detail and player-first approach, Dulin has consistently helped elevate the programs he has served. Prior to his time at UIC, Dulin spent three seasons at Southern University, where he played a pivotal role in developing one of the SWAC’s most productive offenses and a steady infield unit. During his tenure, the Jaguars made back-to-back appearances in the SWAC Championship Game, captured the 2022 SWAC Western Division title with a 21-9 conference record, and won the 2021 SWAC Tournament Championship. Southern ranked among the NCAA’s top 25 in on-base percentage and consistently finished in the SWAC’s top third in key offensive and defensive categories, including doubles, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage, walks, hit-by-pitch, and fielding percentage. Before Southern, Dulin served as head coach at Highland Community College (Kan.) and held assistant coaching positions at Murray State University, Hutchinson Community College, and Coffeyville Community College. Throughout his career, he has contributed to nationally ranked teams, conference championships, and record-setting seasons while emphasizing academic success and holistic player development. A former second baseman at Highland Community College, Dulin earned his bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University in 2012 and a master’s degree from Pittsburg State University 2014. Dulin officially begins his duties at Prairie View A&M on July 28, as he prepares the Panthers for the 2026 season, with a focus on building a championship-caliber program rooted in development, accountability, and Panther pride.

Brian White

Assistant Coach

Brian White is entering his tenth season on the PVAMU Panther staff, focusing on recruiting, game scheduling, base coaching, serving as academic liaison and outfield instruction. Coach White has aided in the development of some of the SWAC's better outfielders, including Steven Williams, Xavier Jefferson, Cody Den Beste, Michael Burroughs, Garrison Weiss and Michael Smith Jr. White started his coaching career as a student assistant at TSU in 1995. In 1996, he worked as a graduate assistant coach and work in the Academic Enhancement Center for Student-Athletes at TSU. After completing his graduate assistant position in 1998, Coach White was elevated as assistant coach while working as a teacher at Galena Park Middle School. In 2002, he returned to Texas Southern to as assistant baseball coach while assisting student-athletes in the Academic Enhancement Center for Student-Athletes. White coached several All-SWAC performers as well as several freshman All-American standouts. White coached several players who were drafted in the MLB Draft during his TSU tenure and was on staff for the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance, highlighted by a historic 2004 NCAA Tournament win over Rice.  White played baseball on the Texas Southern squad from 1992-95. While at TSU, White earned SWAC All-Academic honors and won the team academic award in 1995. White's career was cut short in 1995 due to an injury. He later was an assistant coach at his alma mater and a part of SWAC Championship teams in 2004 and 2008.  White also taught in the developmental education department at TSU from 2002-09, and after leaving the program he remained at the school as a visiting instructor in the English department from 2009-2015. Coach White has worked with various youth baseball organizations in the Houston area, including the initial Houston RBI program, leading teams to the RBI World Series 15 times, winning the World Series in 2010 and 2023, and was hired as a baseball instructor with the Houston Astros Urban Academy in 2012. The Beaumont, Texas native earned his bachelor's degree (1996) and Master's degree (1998) from Texas Southern.

Shane Youman-Osuoha

Assistant Coach

Shane Youman-Osuoha enters his first season as pitching coach at Prairie View A&M University and his fourth overall season as a collegiate pitching coach. The New Iberia, Louisiana native brings a wealth of experience from a successful professional playing career and extensive coaching background at the collegiate and international levels. Prior to joining the Panthers’ staff, Youman-Osuoha served as pitching coach at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (2022–2024) and Texas Southern University (2024–2025), where he developed pitching staffs known for their competitiveness and command. Youman-Osuoha was a standout pitcher for the LSU, lettering three seasons and contributing as a top reliever to LSU’s 2000 NCAA National Championship team. Originally selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1997 MLB Amateur Draft out of New Iberia Senior High School, he chose to pursue his education and college career at LSU before later signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a 2001 draft pick. Youman-Osuoha went on to spend over four seasons in the Pirates’ minor league system before making his Major League Baseball debut on September 10, 2006. He spent parts of two seasons in the majors with the Pirates before extending his professional career overseas, competing in both Taiwan and South Korea. He officially retired from playing in 2017, capping a remarkable international and professional career that spanned more than 15 years. Following his retirement, Youman-Osuoha transitioned into coaching, applying his experience and leadership to develop pitchers at multiple levels of the game. Known for his technical expertise, calm presence, and emphasis on mental preparation, he continues to mentor student-athletes with the same dedication that defined his playing career. Youman-Osuoha is married to Rosalyn and they have a daughter Noelle.

Toribio Cornejo

Assistant Coach

Toby Cornejo joined the Prairie View A&M University baseball coaching staff in September 2025 as an Assistant Coach, bringing with him a proven record of success in player development, program building, and competitive excellence across multiple levels of collegiate baseball. A native of Kansas, Cornejo began his collegiate playing career at Hutchinson Community College (2010–2012), where he quickly became a key piece of the Blue Dragons program. As a freshman, he helped guide Hutchinson to a third-place finish at the 2010 Junior College World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado. By his sophomore season, he had earned All-Conference honors, anchoring a defense that helped the Blue Dragons capture the Jayhawk West regular-season championship. Following his time at Hutchinson, Cornejo continued his career at Northwestern State University and later at Emporia State University, where he helped lead the Hornets to an MIAA Championship and an NCAA Regional berth. His leadership, consistency, and strong baseball IQ made him a respected figure on and off the diamond. After concluding his playing career, Cornejo transitioned into coaching, accepting an assistant role at Coffeyville Community College (2013–2016). Working primarily with infielders and hitters, he helped rejuvenate the Red Ravens program, which earned its first Region VI Tournament appearance in five years under his guidance in 2016. In 2017, Cornejo returned to his alma mater, Hutchinson Community College, where he served as an assistant coach for seven seasons. During his tenure, the Blue Dragons achieved five Top-20 national finishes, and his focus on player development produced outstanding results: Four Gold Glove-winning infielders Six NJCAA All-Americans One NJCAA National Player of the Year One of the top offensive units in junior college baseball Cornejo’s emphasis on fundamentals, situational execution, and plate discipline helped establish Hutchinson as one of the premier programs in the country. In 2023, Cornejo was named the inaugural Head Baseball Coach at Southeast Arkansas College (SEARK), where he built the program from the ground up. His leadership was immediately impactful—guiding the Sharks to 33 wins in their first season, followed by 36 victories in year two, and leading SEARK to its first regional tournament appearance in its first year of postseason eligibility. Under his direction, SEARK became known for its aggressive offensive approach, disciplined defense, and competitive edge. Now at Prairie View A&M University, Cornejo brings his deep knowledge of the game, developmental expertise, and championship mindset to the Panthers’ program. His experience across the junior college and four-year levels, combined with his passion for mentoring student-athletes, makes him a valuable addition to the Prairie View A&M baseball coaching staff and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) community. Throughout his career—whether as a player, assistant, or head coach—Cornejo has demonstrated a consistent ability to elevate programs, cultivate talent, and inspire excellence on and off the field.

Alexander Bryan Sturges

Assistant Coach

Bryan Sturges began his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Prairie View A&M University in September of 2025.  He brings a diverse background as both a coach and former collegiate athlete. Before joining the Panthers, Sturges served as an assistant coach at Alvin Community College, where he played a key role in offensive and defensive operations. During his tenure, Alvin achieved its highest in-season national ranking in program history at No. 12, highlighted by an 84% stolen base success rate.  He was instrumental in developing infielders and catchers while also contributing to recruiting, video analysis, and opponent scouting. Sturges began his coaching career with Twelve Baseball, a nationally recognized organization where he led high school and collegiate summer teams in the prestigious Premier League. There, he coached elite-level players, including several top prospects from the Texas Class of 2025, helping shape their path to college baseball and beyond. As a player, Sturges competed at Texas Christian University, Howard College, UTSA, Texas A&M University, and UT Rio Grande Valley, earning NJCAA All-American honors at Howard College and establishing himself as a versatile infielder and utility player throughout his collegiate career. A native of Beaumont, Texas, and a graduate of Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Sturges brings passion, energy, and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
