Brett MacConnell
Associate Head Coach
MacConnell was one of 30 assistant coaches nationally named to the NABC's 2016 Under Armour 30-under-30 Team, an honor that came in his first season after being named the programs recruiting coordinator for his efforts in helping the Tigers secure strong recruiting classes in 2014 and 2015. The 2014 class was headlined by Amir Bell, who was an Ivy League Rookie of the Year finalist as a freshman in 2015. The 2015 class was led by freshman Devin Cannady also an Ivy League Rookie of the Year finalist in 2016. Cannady finished third on the team in scoring at 11.6 points per game while shooting 49 percent from the field, 46 percent from three-point range, and 89 percent from the foul line. Prior to Saint Peter's, MacConnell spent the 2010-11 season as an assistant coach at Holy Family University in Philadelphia. In his duties as recruiting coordinator, MacConnell helped to bring in a recruiting class that formed the starting five of a team that doubled its win total from the previous season.
