Radford University Women's Cheerleading

Shannon Woodfin has served as the head spirit coach since 2015. Prior to moving into her current role, Woodfin was hired as the head dance coach in 2006 upon graduating from Radford University.   During her time at Radford, Woodfin was a four-year member of the Rockers. Woodfin has led the Rockers to a ranking as high as sixth in the nation among NCAA Division I intuitions, competing in the National Dance Alliance's Collegiate Nationals.   Woodfin grew up a competitive dancer and received all of her training at Creative Dance Center in Chantilly, Va. She is trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop and lyrical. A graduate of Oakton High, Woodfin was a member of the Cougars’ nationally ranked dance team.     She is also the Director of Finance for the English Meadows Assisted Living facilities. Originally from Herndon, Va., she now resides in Radford with her husband Jake, and their daughter Rylan and son Jackson.
