Ed Turnage

Assistant Coach

Turnage Ed Turnage '64 took over as R-MC Golf Coach in September of 2007. Turnage, who is a graduate of R-MC, returned to the Yellow Jacket family following a successful 30 year stint in the golfing industry. During his three decades as a sales representative for a number of world renowned golf manufactures, Turnage earned countless honors and awards including the 2007 PGA Mid-Atlantic Sales Person of the Year. In 2010-11, Turnage led R-MC its second consecutive first-place finish at the Virginia State Championship.  He also mentored three All-ODAC selections.  The Yellow Jackets also placed in the top-five in seven of their nine tournaments, including three first-place titles. Turnage replaced R-MC Athletic Director Jeff Burns who relinquished his role in July of 2007.

Parker Williams

Assistant Coach

Williams will remain on campus as an assistant football coach in 2016, working with the cornerbacks. A native of Fayetteville, N.C., and a graduate of Gray's Creek High School, Williams was a versatile player for the Yellow Jackets. He played cornerback as a freshman, recording 22 tackles in nine games with two interceptions and three pass breakups. Williams switched to wide receiver as a junior. He saw action in nine games in 2014 and had a pair of rushes for seven yards in a 24-10 victory at Hampden-Sydney. Williams played in eight games this past season as a senior. During his career, the Yellow Jackets won three of four times against Hampden-Sydney. Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from R-MC earlier this year, studying both national and international politics. Williams focused on international politics and concentrated on Austria, Afghanistan, Iraq and China. As an undergraduate, Williams was a student assistant in the R-MC Office of College Advancement. He assisted with data entry, communications and on-campus deliveries.
