Molly Marrin

Head Coach

Marrin is beginning her second year as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Regis University. Marrin officially began her duties on April 20, 2015. Marrin led the team to their fourth straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament appearance in her first season at the helm in 2015-16. The Rangers finished 18-11 overall and 16-6 in the RMAC. Marrin had the privilege of coaching an All-RMAC First Team performer in Bay'lee Purdy. Purdy jumped into the all-time scoring ranks and now sits in seventh with 1,257 career points. Marrin, a Regis alum, has most recently served as an assistant coach at the University of Denver.  Marrin will replace long-time Regis head coach Linda Raunig after her retirement following the completion of the 2014-15 season.  Marrin becomes the fifth head coach in the history of Ranger womens basketball. Marrin graduated from Regis in 2003 with a degree in communications.  She was a four year letterwinner for the Rangers, earning First Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) honors and was twice named to the RMAC All-Tournament Team.  A native of Dallas, Marrin has spent her collegiate coaching career creating multiple recruiting strategies while working to develop student-athletes on and off the court.   Prior to returning to Denver, she served six seasons as an assistant coach at the University of San Francisco (USF) where she was the teams recruiting coordinator and assistant coach since 2008-09.  At USF, Marrin played a pivotal role in the recruitment of First Team and Honorable Mention All-WCC performers. Marrins first coaching experience came at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in Greeley, Colorado.  She spent three seasons as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach developing and implementing the Bears recruiting plan, which led to the signing of UNCs highest profile signing of Jabrenta Hubbard.
