Regis University Women's Volleyball

List now calls Denver home after coaching stints in Nebraska, Kansas, and Illinois. List's coaching and job experiences make him a well rounded assistant. The 2016 season is the start of List's 14th season as an assistant coach at the collegiate level. He spent the 2003 and 2004 seasons as the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Fort Hays State University. List moved on from FHSU in 2004, after helping the Tigers to a 31-5 record and a #11 national ranking his last season. He also volunteered with the University of Nebraska-Kearney's women's volleyball team from 1999-2001. List's coaching involvement has ranged from training middle school teams to international competition. List has been the head coach for several years in the club scene. He was involved with club volleyball in Nebraska for three years, Illinois for one, and is currently coaching with the club scene here in Denver. Prior to coming to Regis, in the spring of 2006, List was a personal trainer and manager of a strength and fitness facility in the Chicago area. List's coaching experiences extended outside the club and collegiate levels. He had the opportunity to experience the international competition of volleyball by coaching with the non-profit organization, , in Holland and Germany. List was exposed to volleyball in elementary school because his father was a coach. His early coaching experiences began while teaching math and coaching at a middle school near Omaha, Nebraska. While in Omaha, List was a volunteer assistant at Papillion-La Vista High School in 2001 where the team finished with a Class A State Championship and a record of 40-1. Besides assisting with on court and recruiting duties, List serves as the program's strength and conditioning coach. A 2001 graduate with a bachelor's degree in education and coaching from Nebraska-Kearney, and went on to complete his master's in exercise science from Fort Hayes State University.  List is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Martin enters the 2016 campaign serving as a Regis assistant coach for the 9 th consecutive season.  He helped lead the Rangers to the 2008 NCAA National Tournament in his first year on the bench and most recently aided in four straight appearances in the NCAA tournament.  Coach Paul's primary on-court duties include development and growth of the Regis servers.   While attending UCLA as an undergrad, a passion for volleyball quickly developed watching the womens matches in the fall and the mens matches in the spring.  A few years of living at Redondo Beach after graduation expanded Martins passion to beach doubles.   Paul landed his first coaching assignments in the mid-1990s with the former Boulder Volleyball Club.  In his third club season (along with Darren Swanson), he guided the 1997-98 BVC 15-Gold to a regional title and a spot in the Junior National Championships.  Other coaching appointments included boys high school/club teams, a stint with the CU womens club team, and an incredibly rewarding experience leading a Boulder based Special Olympics team.   While his University of Wisconsin masters degree in cartography served him well at the United States Geological Survey, Coach Paul decided the early retirement landscape looked too good at the end of 2007 and quickly segued to the Regis staff.   Martin, a Pittsburgh, PA, native continues to root for the Pirates, Steelers, and especially the Stanley Cup champion Penguins!
