Ripon College Women's Track

Rengo has coached two National qualifiers (Zach Beek and Jenna Breaker) and one National Champion (Breaker). Rengo, who has a degree in Exercise and Sport Science from UW-River Falls, came to Ripon from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul, where he spent two years. While at Northwestern, Rengo served as an assistant coach, guiding two student-athletes to school records and two to conference championships, while coaching nine All-Conference selections and one All-American. His duties included daily workouts for sprinters, jumpers and throwers, while also serving as the lead recrutier for sprints. Prior to his time at Northwestern, Rengo spent one year at UW-River Falls where he was the assistant coach for cross country and assistant strength coach for track & field. During that year (2011), Rengo helped coach eight student-athletes to school records and one to a conference championship, while overseeing one All-American relay team. He also coached three men's cross country student-athletes to top 20 times in the program's history. While at UW-RF, Rengo wrote and implemented the weight lifting program, assisted in the development of running workouts and planned a weekly seminar with the team's freshmen about collegiate academics. A three-year captain in track & field at UW-River Falls, Rengo qualified for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships in the pentathlon, decathlon and javelin. He was a 2011 WIAC Scholar-Ahlete Nominee for track & field, while earning the Earl Blodgett Award for the most dedicated member of the team for cross country in 2010. Rengo lettered and was named to the Scholastic Honor Roll for both cross country and track & field in each of his four years with the team.
