Rocky Delfino
Head Coach
Rocky Delfino Jr. takes over the head coaching position for the Men's Lacrosse program at the start of the 2026 season. Delfino Sr., is stepping down from the day-to-day operations and duties as head coach but will remain active with the team and help in the transition. “We are excited to have an easy transition for the men’s lacrosse program wit the start of the season just around the corner,” said Executive Director of Athletics Bob Segave. “Rocky Jr. was a player for his father here at Roberts and he has been on the coaching staff for the past four seasons.” After graduating from Roberts Wesleyan with a degree in Homeland Security and Applied Intelligence in May 2020, Delfino took an assistant coaching position at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina before returning to Roberts Wesleyan in 2021 as an assistant coach. Additionally, he has experience as an assistant coach with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Rochester program from 2015-2018. In the past four seasons, Roberts has posted 35 wins (35-24 .593) including a 15-9 record in ECC games and four consecutive trips to the ECC Tournament.

Rocky Delfino
Assistant Coach
Rocky Delfino stepped down as head coach of the Men's Lacrosse program at the start of the 2026 season and handed over the reins of the program to his son. Delfino, who was hired to start the men’s program in 2011 and coached the first game in Roberts’ history in 2012, led the Redhawks to a 10-5 record in 2022 that included a second straight trip to the East Coast Conference (ECC) semifinals. Roberts had a solid 7-5 campaign in 2021 that saw the Redhawks earn the first postseason victory in program history, a 19-8 win over Molloy College in the ECC semifinals to give Delfino his 50th career victory while advancing to the ECC Championship Game for the first time. The Redhawks, who went 4-3 in the shortened 2020 campaign, are also looking to register their fourth straight winning season. Roberts was picked to finish third in the 2023 ECC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Delfino spent nine years as head coach of the Monroe Community College men's lacrosse team before coming to Roberts. Delfino amassed an overall winning record of 105-32 with the Tribunes and was named Region III Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2005. He was also named NJCAA National Coach of the Year in 2005. He was inducted into the MCC Sports Hall of Fame in 2018. Lacrosse runs deep in the Delfino household. Delfino's son, Rocky, was a four-year player and two-time captain at Roberts. He is now the Redhawks’ defensive coordinator. His daughter, Debra, was named the head women’s lacrosse coach at Post University on Jan. 26, 2022. His wife Andrea was involved with running team tailgates and planning player/family activities for the Redhawks for many years. Along with his head coaching responsibilities, Coach Delfino is also an assistant professor at MCC and Roberts.
