Linhart is a United States Tennis Association Elite Professional as well as a certified professional with the PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) having 17 years of teaching experience at the club and collegiate levels. He has 14 years of collegiate coaching experience at the D-II and D-III levels, helping develop five regionally-ranked and two nationally-ranked players. In Linharts inaugural season with the RIT womens tennis team, he coached the team that saw Kristen Zablonski set records for most dual wins (14) and overall wins (20) in a season. The former record was matched by Zablonski and Kirsten Auble, before being broken by Claire Casalnova with 15 the following season that allowed Linhart to lay claim to the top-three dual season winners in RIT women's tennis history. During the 2018-19 season, Linhart tied a 36-year womens tennis program record for wins in a season at 13, while guiding Shayna Ginster and Amelia Young to the doubles dual wins womens tennis record in a season at 14. That season saw Linhart guide the womens tennis team to program-first wins over St. Lawrence, Ithaca and RPI on the way to the teams first Liberty League semifinal appearance. Prior to RIT, Linhart spent two seasons at Elmira College as the head men's and women's tennis coach after guiding D-II Lake Superior State University (Mich.) for six seasons from 2009-15. Linhart began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Elmira from 2006-09. Linhart played collegiately at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y. from 2002-06, accumulating 80 wins and garnering all-conference honors on five occasions, including doubles recognition three times and singles honors twice. Linhart earned his bachelor's degree in childhood and special education from St. John Fisher in 2006 and his master's degree in education from Elmira in 2009.
