James Greenslit

Head Coach

Greenslit enters his second season as Head Coach of the Roger Williams University Mens Soccer program for the 2016-17 season.   In his first season with the Hawks, Greenslit piloted the team to an 8-9-1 record on the season, while nearly upsetting third-seeded Gordon College in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Quarterfinals. Three of his athletes received All-CCC honors, as well as seven Hawks on the squad earning recognition on the Fall All-CCC Academic Team.   Greenslit came to Roger Williams after spending the past three seasons and five seasons total at Wheaton College (Mass.). This past season, Greenslit helped guide the Lyons to a 17-4-2 record and an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, where Wheaton advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.   In Greenslits five seasons with Wheaton, the team compiled a record of 73-27-10 with one NEWMAC Championship and two NCAA Tournament appearances.   Greenslit also served as a Division I assistant at College of the Holy Cross for two years and Northeastern University in 2007 and 2008. During his tenure at Northeastern, the Huskies posted 16 shutouts while advancing to the 2008 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament Championship game.   In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Greenslit is coach of the F.C. Greater Boston Bolts U17 team, as well as serving as Director of Coaching and Facilities Directory of the organization.   Greenslit graduated from Wheaton (Mass.) in 2006 with a degree in economics. He is the only three-time All-American in Wheaton College men's soccer history, being named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference first teams every year during that stretch, He is a two-time NEWMAC Player of the Year, as well as a three-year member of the Wheaton Mens Basketball team.   Following his Wheaton career, Greenslit played for the New England Revolution's reserve squad in 2006 before suiting up for the New Hampshire Phantoms and the Western Mass. Pioneers of the United Soccer Leagues' (USL) Second Division in 2007 and 2008, respectively.

As a former defender for the Hawks, Majetich began his career at RWU in 2015 starting five games and playing in a total of eight. As a senior in 2018, the sole captain finished his final season with four points on two game-winning goals. Majetich helped lead the team to 12 straight wins to start the 2018 season and 16 total wins in his final season.   In 2018, he was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Academic Team and invited to play in the NEISL All-Star Game. During his time at RWU, he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society and the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honor Society.   Majetich was honored in 2019 at the annual RWU Achievement Awards with the Karen R. Haskell Senior Leadership Award, for his leadership and contributions on the soccer field, in the business school, and around the RWU community.   In 2019, Majetich earned a degree in accounting from Roger Williams, with a minor in finance and a concentration in psychology. Post-graduation, Majetich worked at Ernst & Young LLP as a Private Equity Tax Associate, and now works for PKF O'Connor Davies LLP, specializing in financial compliance for country clubs and yacht clubs.

Max Burns

Assistant Coach

Burns brings over a decade of coaching and leadership experience at the collegiate and academy levels. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Coach at Stonehill College (NCAA Division I), where he worked primarily with attacking players. During his tenure, the offense flourished, recording the most goals in their Division I history. His player development efforts guided multiple standouts to postseason honors, including NEC Conference Player of the Year Hannah Anselmo and several All-Conference and All-Region selections. In addition to his collegiate coaching background, Burns is the Girls Elite Teams Director for Seacoast United Massachusetts, where he oversees program management, staff development, and player education across the region. He has also held senior leadership roles with Liverpool FC International Academy Southern New England, serving as Southeast Regional Director and National Academy Girls Director. In that role, he managed over 20 teams, developed players through the Liverpool FC curriculum, led international coaching trips, and oversaw coach education and accreditation. Burns holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Sports Marketing from Liverpool Hope University and multiple coaching certifications.
