Rollins College Men's Soccer

Alex Mathias is the Assistant Coach & Goalkeepers Coach at Rollins College since January 2022. Previously, Alex worked for Rollins as GK Coach in the Id and Summer Camps. In the college life, Alex worked for Johnson University Florida as Assistant Coach & GK Coach and as Head Coach at Simpson University (Redding, CA). Alex Mathias graduated in the Brazilian Air Force where he was the Head Coach for the Womens Soccer Armed Forces National Team in the USA 2009 World Cup, when Brazil won the championship. Currently, Mathias works at XL Academy, Orlando City Lake Nona and FC America as Goalkeepers Coach as well. In Brazil, he was the Director of Coaching of Team Chicago Brasil, a club partner of Team Chicago Soccer Club and other jobs at CBF (Brazilian National League) and in professional clubs as Flamengo, Vasco and Vitória.      

Assistant coach since: 2018 A native of Sheffield, England, Luke began his soccer career as an academy player at Sheffield Wednesday, before making his senior squad debut with the club in 2006.  Boden also spent time at Chesterfield, Rushden & Diamonds, and Northampton Town. In 2011 Boden came to the United States and joined Orlando City in the USL Pro League.  He played with the club until 2016, staying on board during the team's ascension from USL to MLS competition.  Boden played in 87 USL Pro games for the Lions, earning Team of the Season Honors in 2014.  He saw time in 45 MLS games with the club.  Most recently Boden took his talents down I-4, playing with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the 2017 season.

Working at Rollins College since 2021, Alex Mathias previously worked at Johnson University Florida, as Assistant Coach/Goalkeeper Coach and at Simpson University (California) as Head Coach (Women's & Men's Soccer).  Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Alex has worked in the area of training and management in clubs such as Flamengo, Vasco and Vitoria and also with the Brazilian Soccer Confederation - CBF.   Alex Mathias was the Head Coach of the men's and women's soccer teams of the Air Force and the Brazilian Women's Military Team, when he was coached the team that won the world championship in this category.
