Shawn Pistor
Head Coach
Pistor's tenure, most recently during the 2010 season. The women's varsity four finished third at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia. This was the first medal captured at the Dad Vail Regatta for the women in over 30 years. The women were also the fastest crew at the Florida and Southern Championships. The 2010 season also saw Florida Championships by the men's junior varsity four and the men's and women's pair. At season's end, five rowers earned postseason accolades with four named to the All-Sunshine State Conference Rowing Team and one to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) DII All-American Rowing Team. Rollins rowers have also earned their way onto All-SSC Rowing Teams during the 2009, 2008, and 2007 seasons, as well as the CRCA DII All-American Rowing Team in 2007. With the guidance of Pistor, the men's varsity four are two-time bronze medalists at the Dad Vail Championships and have been successful over the years at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championships winning in 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2006. The Rollins women have made two appearances in the NCAA Championships under Pistor, taking third in 2002 and sixth in 2003. They also took first at the Sunshine State Conference Championships in 1998 and 2002. Pistor earned his bachelor's in sociology with a minor in business from Rollins in 1995 and completed his master's from the Crummer Graduate School of Business in 1999. An avid outdoorsman, he spends his off-season working at a summer camp in forests of New Hampshire.
