Rosemont College Men's Lacrosse

Baker has been elevated to become the second Head Coach of the Rosemont Mens Lacrosse program.   Prior to this appointment, Baker had been an Assistant Coach for the Rosemont Mens Lacrosse program between 2012-2016. Baker is a teacher of Biology at Springfield High School (Delaware County). He graduated Penn State in 2012 with a degree in Pre Med. While at Penn State, he played Goalkeeper for the Nittany Lions Division I team. Coach Baker is a graduate of Haverford High School, where he played lacrosse and ice hockey.   The Rosemont Director of Athletics, Lynn Rothenhoefer was happy with the placement of Baker as the new Head Coach. Zusi returns to coach Rosemont's Men's Lacrosse coach for his sixth season in 2017. He is the program's inaugural head coach, building the program since before the program premiered in 2012. During his tenure, Rosemont has placed seven players on the Colonial States Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, 14 on the CSAC Academic All-Conference team, and 1 NCAA Statistical National Champion. In 2015 the team was awarded the CSAC 3D Award for Sportsmanship. Zusi came to Rosemont after serving as coach for the varsity lacrosse coach for Millburn High School in Millburn, N.J. He served as the Defensive Coordinator from 2005-2008 before stepping in as head coach in 2008.   During his time at Millburn, Zusi helped to develop three Academic All-Americans, nine All-State Players and dozens of All-Conference players. In addition, his squad has maintained a 100 percent graduation and college acceptance rate during his tenure.   Zusi is a graduate of Hofstra University in New York. While there, he helped start the Hofstra Lacrosse Club. He graduated in 2001 with a B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Video and Television Production and minored in Creative Writing. He went on to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching from Walden University as well as a Master of Science in Leadership from Rosemont College where he was additionally honored with Outstanding Academic Achievement at the Graduate Level.   Zusi started his playing career at Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, N.J. While there, he was a three-year letter winner and a member of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Quarterfinalist team, the first in school history.   In addition, Zusi is among the first coaches to be certified a Level 2 Coach by the U.S. Lacrosse, the national governing body of lacrosse. He has been featured as a speaker at the US Lacrosse Convention and is also a coach for the HEADStrong Lacrosse Club.   Professionally, Zusi is the Coordinator of Student Retention and Advising for the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies here at Rosemont where he is the primary academic advisor to all graduate and professional studies business students.
