Rowan University Women's Field Hockey

Andre is in her second season as head field hockey coach at Rowan University. Andre returned to the University in 2015 after six years as the head coach at Stockton University. She served as an assistant coach for the Profs from 1998-2001 and 2007-08. Her overall career record stands at 109-117. Last year, she guided Rowan to a 14-6 record and a 5-1 conference mark.  While at Stockton (2009-14), Andre compiled a 42-68 record but oversaw great improvement in the program. The Ospreys totaled 28 wins from 2011-13, exceeding the prior six years combined. Stockton earned a spot in the NJAC Championship Tournament in 2013 and ended the season with a school record 12 victories. Andre was honored with the conferences Coach of the Year Award. Thirteen Stockton players have been named to the NJAC All-Conference Team. The program has also seen success in the classroom, finishing in the top five in the nation in grade point average four times in the last six years, grabbing the top spot in 2014.   Andre was the head coach at the University of Rochester for five seasons from 2002-06 where she posted a 53-43 record. In her first year, she led the Yellowjackets to a school record 12 wins and the programs first winning season in 10 years. Rochester set a new University mark with 13 victories in Andres final campaign. She guided two National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Americans and 12 All-Region selections. The Yellowjackets registered the fourth-highest grade point average in the nation in 2006.   In Andres two stints as an assistant at Rowan, the Profs went 96-23, captured two NJAC titles (1998, 2000) and reached the semifinals of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament twice (1998, 2000) and the quarterfinals four times (1999, 2001, 2007, 2008).   Andre was a standout in field hockey and softball at the University from 1994-98. A midfielder, Andre had a career total of 94 points with 38 goals and 18 assists. Her senior year, she scored 18 goals and had five assists for 41 points. Andre was chosen the 1997 NJAC Midfielder of the Year and to the NJAC All-Conference Team. She was a member of the NFHCA All-America and South Atlantic All-Region first teams. Andre was also tabbed the Field Hockey Club of South Jersey Division III Offensive Player of the Year. She was captain of the field hockey team her junior and senior seasons. By the end of her career, Andre was the all-time leader in points, fifth in goals and seventh in assists.   A third baseman in softball, Andre posted a .374 career batting average with 174 hits, 120 RBIs and 122 runs scored. She was selected to the NJAC All-Conference and the All-Region first teams three times. In addition, Andre was a 1996 All-America second team selection and a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star team. Her senior year, she was a team captain. All four years of Andres career, the team participated in the NCAA Championship Tournament. In 1995, the Profs captured the region title and advanced to the national championship. Andre still ranks among the program leaders in batting average, triples, home runs, slugging percentage and runs batted in.   Andre also played goalkeeper for the Rowan womens lacrosse team in 1999. She stopped 152 shots for a 62.6 save percentage. Andre was chosen the ECAC Goalkeeper of the Week twice and to the 1999 Intercollegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association Metro Region second team. Rowan posted a 13-3 record that season and received a bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.    Andre received her bachelors degree in mathematics in 1999 and later earned a masters degree in higher education administration in 2002. She was inducted into the Rowan-Glassboro State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009. Andre is currently the chair of the NCAA Division III Field Hockey National and South Atlantic Regional Advisory Committees.  

Bennetts 12th season as an assistant field hockey coach at Rowan University. She shares in the planning and implementation of practices and the recruiting of players. A back, Bennett played four years of field hockey (2001-04) for the Profs. Her senior year, she contributed with 12 points, five goals and two assists. Bennett was selected the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Year. She was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America second team and the South Atlantic All-Region first team. Bennett was chosen to the NJAC All-Conference team and the Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Star second team. In 2003, Bennett had four goals and one assist for nine points. She was selected to the NJAC All-Conference team and the NFHCA All-Region second team. In four seasons, Bennett totaled 23 points with nine goals and five assists. During her career, Rowan posted a 59-15 record. The Profs won the 2002 NCAA Division III Championship and finished the season undefeated with a 21-0 record. The field hockey team advanced to the national quarterfinals in 2004, 2003 and 2001. Rowan captured the NJAC title in 2003 and 2002. Bennett graduated from the University in 2006 with a bachelors degree in health and exercise science. She is a health and physical education teacher at Gloucester City High School.
