Lindsay Delaney

Head Coach

Delaney is entering her ninth season as head coach. Her coaching record stands at 86-52. She is the eighth coach of the Rowan University womens lacrosse team. During her tenure, Delaney has guided the Profs to five Intercollegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National Academic Honor Squad honors (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014). She has coached 17 IWLCA National Honor Squad and 35 All-Region Team members. Michelle Lubrano was named to the IWLCA All-America third team in 2011 and to the second team in 2012. Lauren Callaghan earned All-America second team honors in 2014 while Kelly OBrien and Becca Wood received third team recognition in 2015. Kaitlyn Molzon (2010) and Callaghan were selected to play in the IWLCA Division III North-South All-Star Game. Last year, the Profs had a 10-7 record and made it to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Game. Rowan went 13-5 and reached the final of the inaugural NJAC Championship Tournament in 2014. In 2013, the Profs went 11-6 and received an at-large bid in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the fifth time in the past six years. In 2012, they produced a 10-7 record. In 2011, Delaney led Rowan to a 10-7 mark. The Profs earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. In 2010, the Profs were 11-6 overall and won their first NJAC Championship with a 5-0 conference mark. Rowan received an at-large bid to the national tournament. Delaney was chosen the NJAC Coach of the Year. In 2009, Rowan went 8-9 and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. In her first year at the helm, Delaney guided the Profs to a 13-5 record and an appearance in the national tournament. Prior to taking over the head position in 2008, Delaney had served the past three years as an assistant coach. She replaced Mary Marino who retired after 20 seasons as the coach. Delaney graduated from the University in 2003 with a bachelors degree in history with secondary education certification and received her masters degree in higher education administration in 2008. She lettered four years on the lacrosse team and was one of the captains her senior season. A defender, Delaney was selected to the Intercollegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Metro All-Region first team in 2003 and 2002. In her last year, she was also chosen to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro All-Star team and for the IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star game. The Womens Lacrosse Club of South Jersey named her the 2003 Division III Defensive Player of the Year. Delaney also played three years (2002, 2001, 2000) for the Profs field hockey team. Her senior season, Rowan won the NCAA Division III Championship and was undefeated with a 21-0 record. The field hockey team advanced to the national quarterfinals in 2001 and the semifinals in 2000. Rowan captured the NJAC title in 2002 and 2000. A back, Delaney was a team captain her senior year. She was an assistant coach for the Haddonfield High School varsity field hockey team from 2003-04 and for the Cherry Hill East High School varsity lacrosse team in 2004. Delaney was a social studies teacher at Collingswood High School from 2004-2007 and she was the freshman field hockey coach.
