Head Coach
Wilson is in her 20th year as head coach of the Rowan University softball team. Her won-lost record at the University stands at 622-214 for a .744 winning percentage. She has guided the Profs to five New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships and 13 NCAA Championship Tournament appearances. In 2015, Wilson earned her 600th victory at the University with a 6-0 victory over Centenary College on March 18 in Winter Haven, FL. Prior, she was the head softball coach at Washington & Jefferson College (PA) for six years. Wilson had a 64-57 record at W&J. In 25 seasons, her career coaching record stands at 686-271. Her 500th career win was a 2-1 victory over The College of New Jersey (May 8) in the 2010 NJAC Championship Tournament. The Profs went 38-8 last season and reached the NJAC Championship Game and the final of the NCAA Alfred Regional. Wilson was chosen the conferences Coach of the Year. Rowan had a 37-12 record in 2014 and won its eighth NJAC title. The team captured the NCAA Ithaca Regional crown and advanced to the NCAA Rochester Super Regional. In 2013, the Profs finished with a 41-9 record and advanced to the final of the NCAA Division III Babson Park Regional Tournament. Wilson was named the NJAC Coach of the Year. In 2012, Rowan posted a 39-9 overall record. The Profs won the NJAC Championship Tournament and advanced to the final of the NCAA Division III Union Regional Tournament. In 2011, the Profs went 31-13, participated in the NJAC Championship Tournament for the eighth straight season and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Wilson was selected the NJAC Co-Coach of the Year. In 2010, Rowan compiled a 28-13 record and reached the NJAC Championship Tournament. In 2009, the Profs posted a 35-12 record and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the second consecutive season. Wilson was named the NJAC and Division III Metro Softball Combat Sports/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Coach of the Year. In 2008, Rowan went 31-11 and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Rowan ended the 2007 season with a 23-17 record. The Profs reached the championship round of the NJAC Championship Tournament. In 2006, the Profs finished with a 41-7 record and they advanced to the conference championship tournament. Rowan also reached the final of the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament. The 41 wins broke the school record of 37 from 1999 (37-10) and 1994 (37-9). In 2005, Rowan compiled a 25-14 record. In 2004, the Profs finished the season with a 28-10 record and they had a 19-15 record in 2003. Rowan had a final record of 33-16 in 2002. It was the sixth straight season under Wilson that the softball team had 30 or more wins in a season. The Profs won their second straight conference title and advanced to the region final of the NCAA tournament. The softball team won the 2001 NJAC Championship and advanced to the national tournament. Rowan finished 32-13 in 2000. In 1999, Rowan posted a 37-10 record which tied the 1994 school mark for wins in a season. The Profs won the region title and advanced to the national championship tournament. Wilson was selected the 1999 NJAC Coach of the Year. The Profs ended 1998 with a 35-9 record and won the conference title. Rowan also made a NCAA regional appearance. Wilson was named the NJAC Coach of the Year and the Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. In 1997, she guided the softball team to a 35-5 won-lost record and a berth in the NCAA regional. While at Washington & Jeffferson, Wilson also served as the head coach of the Presidents womens soccer team. She was selected the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) Softball Coach of the Year in 1993 and 1996. The W&J softball team finished the 1996 season with a 26-5 overall record and they were the 1996 PAC Champions. At Washington & Jefferson, Wilson taught physical education courses which included fitness, weight training, badminton, coaching and recreational sports. In addition, Wilson developed a Midnight Madness program in conjunction with the Student Affairs staff. The program is a yearly co-ed intramural event which offers students an alternative weekend activity without alcohol. Wilson was a physical education and health teacher at King William County Public Schools (VA) from 1989 to 1991. She graduated from Slippery Rock University (PA) in 1989 with a bachelors degree in physical education. At Slippery Rock, she played volleyball and softball.
