Brad Bowser

Head Coach

Bowser is in his third year as head mens and womens swimming & diving coach at Rowan University. Last year, he guided the Profs to an 11th place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships and they won the Metropolitan Championships.  Jesse Novak earned All-America in the 50 and 100 freestyles while John Morris received All-America honorable mention in the one and three-meter diving.  The men were All-Americans in the 200 freestyle relay and All-American honorable mention in the 200 and 400 medley relays and the 400 freestyle relay.  Bowser was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Mens Coach of the Year for the second straight season. Bowser came to the University after three years as an assistant head coach at Machine Aquatics Swim Club and head site coach at Audrey Moore Recreation and Tysons Sport & Health in Virginia. Bowser oversaw the development of age group to national team swimmers. He was responsible for the daily managing of all programming at two of the clubs locations and 10-12 coaches. Bowser planned and implemented the development of the quadrennial and annual training plan, dry land and weight programs. He also enhanced programming to recruit and maintain swimmers in the Northern Virginia area. Bowser has mentored 10 national team and multiple sectional team members. He has guided numerous Potomac Valley Swimming Senior & Junior Championships and 14U Junior Olympics winners and qualifiers. Bowser also served as Senior Swimming Chair for Potomac Valley Swimming and represented the club in the USA Swimming House of Delegates. Bowser was previously an assistant head coach for the Jersey Wahoos Swim Club in Mount Laurel, NJ from 2001-2011. He assisted in the development of high school aged swimmers and renovated the program to encompass water training, dry land and weight instruction for all levels. Bowser coached five Middle Atlantic Junior Olympics champions, four Star Invitational champions, seven Olympic Trial qualifiers, nine 18U Summer US National qualifiers and 36 National Collegiate Scouting Association (NSCA) Junior National qualifiers. He also helped lead four teams to top-10 finishes at the NSCA Junior National Championships. In addition, Bowser was an assistant manager and certified pool operator for the club. He was responsible for hiring and scheduling all lifeguards, managing the facility and overseeing pool maintenance. Bowser served as a Middle Atlantic board member from 2005-2011. He had tenures as Age Group Coaches Representative, Technical Planning Chair and Senior Swimming Chair. Bowser is an American Swimming Coaches Association-certified Level III Coach. Bowser is a 2001 graduate of North Carolina State University. He was a nine-time Atlantic Coast Conference finalist and two-time US national qualifier. In 2000, Bowser qualified for the Olympic Trials. He was a two-time All-American at Shawnee High School. Bowser has a bachelors degree in parks, recreation and tourism management with a concentration in sports administration.

Elise Blaschke

Assistant Coach

Blaschke is in her fourth year and second as a full-time assistant coach for the Rowan University men's and womens swimming & diving teams.  Blaschke recently concluded a three-summer stint as head coach of Greenwood Park Swim Team, a team with which she was previously the assistant from 2009-11. Blaschke compiled a record of 10-4 as head coach. From 2010-13, she was an assistant age group coach for the Retriever Aquatic Club (RAC) in Catonsville, MD. Blaschke worked with children ages 4-9 and specialized in stroke mechanics, technique and development. Blaschke swam collegiately at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She was a five-time America East Conference finalist and ended her career with four UMBC all-time top-10 performances in the 100 and 200 backstrokes as well as the 100 freestyle and 200 individual medley. Blaschke was a member of the 2011-12 and 2012-13 America East Honor Roll as well as the 2012-13 America East All-Conference Team. Blaschke was a four-year varsity swimmer and state finalist at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School. She swam for the Jersey Wahoos from 2005-09 and was a three-year NCSA Junior National Qualifier. Nate Parsley

Assistant Coach

Parsley is in his eighth season with the Rowan University softball program. This is his fourth year as an assistant coach, serving as the primary pitching instructor. Prior, Parsley was a student assistant from 2009-2012. For the past three seasons, the pitching staff has compiled an earned run average (ERA) that ranked among the top 10 lowest in all of Division III softball (1.66 ERA - 2015; 1.03 ERA - 2014; 1.12 ERA - 2013). In addition, pitchers LeAnne Miller (2013), Krysti Maronski (2014), and Beth Ann Hyland (2015) were honored as New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference first team and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) East Region first team recipients.  During his seven-year tenure, Parsley has been on the Rowan staff for two NJAC Championships (2012, 2014), six NCAA appearances (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015) and one NCAA Regional Championship (2014). Parsley competed collegiately in swimming at Rowan University from 2008-12. He was a two-time recipient of the Rowan Swimming & Diving Rob Sorelle-Craig Naylor Scholar-Athlete Citizen Award (2011, 2012). In 2012, Parsley was a member of the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team. He was the chair of the Rowan Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and served on the New Jersey Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Parsley received his bachelors degree in education, with a specialization in Health and Physical Education in December 2012. Parsley was a four-year state qualifier at Milford High School. He was a two-time state finalist in the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley.  In 2008, Parsley was a Delaware state finalist for the Wendys High School Heisman Award. Parsley is currently pursuing a masters degree in Higher Education Administration at Rowan and will graduate in the spring of 2016. He is a graduate assistant for the College of Biomedical Science and Health Professions.  Parsley is a member of the NFCA and is a coach for the Delaware Magic 16U program in in Bear, DE.

Jesse Lyman

Coach

Lyman is in his third year as the mens and womens diving coach at Rowan University. During Lyman's tenure in Glassboro, John Morris has earned All-America honorable mention three times at the NCAA Championships, with his highest finish (10th) coming on the three-meter board in 2016. Morris is also a three-time winner of the Diver of the Meet award at the Metropolitan Championships and the school-record holder in both one- and three-meter diving. Lyman has been named the Diving Coach of the Year twice at Mets. Lyman has 10 years of club coaching experience and runs a club diving team, Top Spin Diving, based at Rowan. He has also guided athletes at Barclay Farm Swim Club (2014), Tiger Aquatics (2010-2013), and Downs Farm and Old Orchard Swim Clubs (2006-2009). Lyman was a four-year Division I diver at Louisiana State University (LSU). He was a two-time NCAA Regional qualifier and had career bests of 329.78 (one-meter), 332.95 (three-meter) and 252.20 (platform). A Cherry Hill High School East graduate, Lyman placed third in the state and helped the Cougars to a conference championship in 2009. Outside of coaching, Lyman is the Director of Marketing for the Professional Diving Coaches Association and the CEO of Getta-Gripp, an athletic grip for athletes. Lyman graduated from LSU with a degree in history education and a minor in political science.
