Sacramento City College Women's Golf

Thomas as their new Womens Golf Coach.  Michael is already a member of the Los Rios Community College District as he has been the American River College Women's Golf Coach and is currently the Men's Golf Coach at American River.  Michael will continue in his role as the Men's Golf Coach at ARC, since the Panthers do not have a mens team.  When asked how it feels to be named as the new SCC Womens Golf Coach, Thomas said, Its an honor and privilege.  Coach Thomas attended Sac City in 1998-99, before transferring to CSU, Sacramento to earn his Bachelor (2002) and Masters Degree (2004) in Recreational Administration. Michael brings with him a wealth of experience, having taught and coached golf in the Sacramento area for almost 20 years.  Thomas said, I look forward to continuing the traditions of excellence at Sac City and what Coach Kiernan has instilled in the womens golf program.  One of my highest priorities is to continue fostering a comprehensive golf program; one that develops and allows athletes to transfer to 4-year golf programs.

Bio Meet Dr Randall Brown, recently added as Asst. Women's Golf Coach for the Panthers. Dr. Brown has a very long history here at Sacramento City College. He played 1st base and pitched for SCC in 1969. He then played professional baseball for Montreal, Baltimore, and the Seattle organizations during the 1970's.   Following a 2nd stint as a student at SCC in 1978-79, Dr. Brown attained a degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1985.  A few short years later he found himself connected with legendary SCC baseball coach Jerry Weinstein and served as the Team Chiropractor for 16 years.  After nearly 25 years in practice, Dr. Brown retired to become the Asst. Men's Golf coach at CSU-Sacramento from 2012-2018.   Dr. Brown is the founder of dbGolf Fitness Training in Sacramento. He is Certified as a Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, California.   Hopefully this begins a new chapter for Dr. Brown in teaming with Head Coach Deskaheh "Bomber" Bomberry to bring a very high level of success to the Women's Golf program in the future!
