Kelsi Lykens
Assistant Coach
Lykens as an assistant coach. Lykens' responsibilities include organizing the Pioneers defense, assisting in player development, as well as playing a role in recruiting and the day-to-day operations. "I am excited to have Kelsi join the Pioneer family," Kloeckener said, "Not only has she proven herself as an incredible individual player, but she has an amazing passion for field hockey. Her experience and love of the game will help her as a coach and will be something that our student-athletes can aspire to as well." Lykens comes to SHU after a highly decorated playing career at Division II West Chester University in Pennsylvania. She was a four-year starter for the Golden Rams, where she won the 2013 Division II Field Hockey Athlete of the Year. In addition, Lykens was named to the Division II All-American team First Team in 2012 and 2013. After finishing her collegiate playing career, she joined the coaching staff for the Golden Rams, leading the team to a conference championship in 2014. A Schuylkill High School graduate from Mohrsville, PA, Lykens excelled not only on the field, but off as well, being named to the Division I and II All-Academic Squad during her time in college.

Katie Kloeckener
Assistant Coach
Kloeckener will enter her fourth season as Head Coach and eighth season as a member of the Sacred Heart University field hockey coaching staff in 2015-16. Kloeckener served as the team's Interim Head Coach in the fall of 2010 and took over the program full-time in 2012. Kloeckener joined the Pioneer coaching staff at the beginning of the 2008 season after a four-year playing career at Ball State University, where she graduated in May of 2008. At Ball State, Kloeckener was part of a team that was the Mid-American Conference runner-up in 2006. She was recognized for her academic accomplishments, as she was named to the MAC All-Academic Team and was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association Academic Team four straight years from 2004-07. In addition to her play on the field, Kloeckener also served as a head coach at a US Futures site for the US Field Hockey Futures Olympic Development Program for four years. She has gained coaching experience from numerous camps throughout the country, and also holds a US Field Hockey Level II Credential. Coaching Accomplishments
