Spencer Jones just recently finished his collegiate career at St. Ambrose in the spring of 2015. Jones has been around the game of golf since a very early age, and has been competing competitively for over 12 years. He played his high school golf at Davenport North where he was a four-year varsity award letter. Upon graduation he signed to play golf for Black Hawk College where he competed for a National Championship during his two years there. He then transferred to St. Ambrose University where he earned his Bachelor's in Sport Management and competed at the varsity level for Coach Griebel's Bees. Jones was a co-captain each of his two seasons at Ambrose and helped the team keep its competitive reputation. He has the leadership experience and golf expertise to help this already very successful program. Cody Brandau, a transfer dual-sport athlete, capped off his collegiate golf career at St. Ambrose in May 2016 by competing in the NAIA National Tournament with the Bees, and now joins Coach Jeff Griebel and Coach Spencer Jones and the rest of the Bees for one last semester before graduation in December 16. He also competed with the varsity bowling team for two seasons. Brandau started playing golf at the age of three, playing in many youth tournaments. He played high school golf and bowled at Mason City High School (Iowa). He was a four-year varsity letter winner for both sports. Upon graduation at MCHS, he attended Iowa Central Community College for two years where he qualified for the National Championship as an individual in 2013 and was joined by his team the next year in 2014. Cody was a part of the inaugural Bowling team at Iowa Central, and was twice named NJCAA All-American for Bowling.
