Lexi Neuwirth

Associate Head Coach

In July of 2025, Lexi Neuwirth was promoted to Associate Head Coach of the the Saint Anselm College track and field team as she enters her third season with program ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. Neuwirth was hired ahead of the team's inaugural season in 2023-24 as an assistant coach before earning her new title. She also holds the position of Business Operations Coordinator within the Saint Anselm College Athletic Department. Neuwirth comes to the Hilltop after serving as an Assistant Track and Field Coach for NCAA Division I Merrimack College. During her two years at Merrimack, she coached both the indoor and outdoor seasons specializing in sprints and hurdles. Neuwirth developed hurdle workout programs and assisted with the sprints and jumps crew to help guide multiple Warrior student-athletes to their personal records. Prior to Merrimack, she coached at Mount Holyoke College, an NCAA Division III institution, during the 2019-2020 season. Neuwirth also focused on sprints and hurdles while at Mount Holyoke, organizing lift sessions and relay teams. She graduated from Westfield State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Coaching. She was a decorated student-athlete of the Nestor track and field program competing all four years in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She served as a two-year captain on the team participating in several sprint and hurdle events with a focus on the 400-meter and the 400-meter hurdles. She currently holds seven program records and was an 18x Massachusetts States Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Event Champion. She qualified twice for the Outdoor NCAA Championship in the 400-meter hurdles event and once in 2019 for the Indoor NCAA Championship to become a two-time All-American.  Neuwirth, a Westford, Massachusetts native, earned her Masters in Education School Counseling from Merrimack College in 2022.

George Jumpp

Assistant Coach

George Jumpp enters his first season with the Saint Anselm College track and field team for its inaugural 2023-2024 season.   Jumpp is a former NCAA Division I hammer thrower for the University of New Hampshire. He served as a team captain during his senior season leading the America East Conference as the top hammer thrower. He would finish his throwing career as an NCAA Regional Qualifier and ranked first in Jamaica. In 2012, Jumpp had the opportunity to compete in the Jamaican Track and Field Championship.   Jumpp graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Nutritional Sciences in 2014. After graduation, he continued his education at Life University where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. As a chiropractor, Jumpp has worked with countless track athletes from various levels including collegiate and professional. He served as the chiropractor for the Jamaican Track and Field Championships and World Trials in 2022.    George is a native of Jamaica and attended Manchester Memorial High School.

Peter Early

Coach

Peter Early was selected as the first Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at Saint Anselm College on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022. His hire came just weeks after the announcement of four new varsity sports, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track & field. Early will be charged with the formation of those four programs and will begin recruiting immediately in advance of the first varsity seasons in 2023-24. An experienced coach at the NCAA Division II level, Early joined Saint Anselm from fellow Northeast-10 Conference member Assumption University where he was the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. With the Greyhounds since May 2021, Early helped the men’s cross country team secure its best finish at the NE10 Championship, hosted by Saint Anselm this past Fall. Prior to his stint at Assumption, Early was the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Coker University for three seasons. He previously played a pivotal role in the formation of the men’s and women’s track & field programs at Merrimack College. He joined the Warriors as a coach shortly after the formation of their NCAA Division II teams in 2010-11, departing for Coker in 2018. Across a coaching career that spans over a decade, Early has mentored over 50 All-Region award recipients, had 40 student-athletes earn qualifying marks in NCAA Division II, and developed 23 All-Americans. 20 of his student-athletes captured league championships and he also coached Carly Muscaro, a six-time National Champion at Merrimack in the 200m/400m. Early received the United States Track Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association’s National Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2016-17. Also picking up East Region Assistant Coach of the Year honors, Early was honored for his work with the first two individual competitors from Merrimack to qualify for Nationals. A 2011 graduate of Merrimack with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Early was a member of both the football and track & field programs with the Warriors, earning All-Academic Team placement. As a student-athlete, Early secured All-New England plaudits in the 4x100 meter relay and captained the first men’s track & field team at Merrimack. Early received a master’s degree in College Athletic Administration in 2020 from Coker. He resides in Haverhill, Mass. with his wife, Andrea, and two children, Peter and Madelynn.
