Kerstin Matthews
Head Coach
Matthews enters her ninth season as the head coach of the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team in 2016-17. During her tenure at the Hilltop, she has compiled one of the winningest programs in New England, accruing a 153-51-11 (.737) record entering this season. In 2015-16, Matthews led Saint Anselm to a 21-6 record that included a 14-3 mark in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC). The Hawks also advanced to the inaugural NEHC Open championship game and had three All-NEHC selections, two CCM All-Americans and five NEHC All-Academic picks. Matthews picked up her 100th career coaching win in Saint Anselm's 6-3 victory at Williams College on Dec. 7, 2013. She became the first women's hockey coach on the Hilltop to reach the century-mark in wins, has posted eight consecutive winning seasons and three 20-win seasons, matching a program-best 24-win season in 2013-14. That same season, Matthews was named ECAC Women's East Coach of the Year, as well as the New England Hockey Writers Division II/III Coach of the Year with a 24-3 season mark. Matthews came to Saint Anselm from Boston University where she transitioned the BU women's club team to Division I varsity status, eventually serving as the Terriers' top assistant from 2005-08. She operated as the team's recruiting coordinator, both domestically and internationally, and specializing with the Terrier forwards. In addition to her responsibilities at BU, Matthews was a co-owner of Hockey Advantage, a girls' ice hockey school in Woburn, Mass. Founded in 2001, Hockey Advantage taught fundamentals of ice hockey through clinics, camps and private instruction. Matthews is a 2000 alumna of Providence College where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in management. She was a four-year letter-winner for the Division I Friars, captaining her squad to a 20-10-3 record overall and 14-7-3 mark in ECAC play her senior year. Matthews resides in North Reading, Mass., with her husband, Jeff, and sons, Jacob (5) and Cameron (4).

Sarah Glenn
Assistant Coach
Glenn enters her 13th season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Saint Anselm women's ice hockey program in 2016-17. A memer of the staff since the program's inception in 2004, Glenn handles all academic needs, including study halls and class selections. Glenn's work with the team is much accredited to their ability to succeed both on and off the ice. Glenn also serves as a professor in the philospohy department of Saint Anselm.

Karilyn Pilch
Assistant Coach
Pilch returns to the Saint Anselm women's ice hockey staff for her seventh season in 2015-16 as an assistant coach. She is responsible for team video, organizing travel plans, and recruiting, as well as working with the defense. Additionally, Pilch helps to organize practice and workouts. Pilch is a 2009, cum laude. graduate of the Boston University School of Management, where she earned a B.S. in Management, with a concentration of Finance. She was also a member of the Division I women's ice hockey team, being named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team. Prior to arrival on the Hilltop, Pilch worked with USA Hockey as a camp instructor and evaluator.
