Ryan Stokes
Assistant Coach
Stokes will serve as the program's Running-backs Coach as well as other duties assigned with player development and recruiting. The ground has flourish over the past two seasons. Most recently the Pumas averaged 132 yards on the ground per game and accounted for 14 touchdowns. In 2014 SJC was one of the best running teams in the nation. The Pumas averaged 242 yards per games and ran for 27 touchdowns on the season. SJC finished the year ranked 13th in the nation in rushing yards per game. A former kicker in college, Stokes comes to SJC after graduating from Grand Valley State University. As a member of the GVSU football team Stokes was the starting place kicker until suffering a career-ending ACL knee injury. He finished second on the team in total points scored in 2011 and received Academic All-GLIAC honors twice in his career. GVSU made three NCAA DII playoff appearances with the help of Stokes, including appearing in the 2009 National Title game. The Lakers reached two NCAA DII Semifinals in that span and won a GLIAC Championship, and a GLIAC North Division Title. Stokes received his bachelors degree in sports management with a minor in business from Grand Valley State University in July of 2014. Robert Dutton
Assistant Coach
Dutton joined the Saint Josephs College football coaching staff in July of 2015. Dutton will serve as the programs wide receivers coach and equipment manager. Dutton returns to SJC after two season as the Offensive Coordinator at Columbus East High School in Ohio. He previously served as an assistant football coach and coordinator at Reynoldsburg High School from 2010-2012. In that time, nine players under Duttons direction have made a Division I roster. The Pumas were 22-21 from 2006-09 while Dutton was a member of SJCs wide-receivers corp. During his final three seasons, Dutton played in 22 games making 34 catches for 444 yards and five touchdowns. His senior season Dutton caught four of the Pumas eight passing touchdowns while helping the SJC offense account for 141 yards per game through the air. For his efforts Dutton received an All-Great Lakes Football Conference Honorable Mention in 2009. Dutton is a native of Hammond, Indiana where he played for Morton High School. He was named Hammond Athlete of the Year in 2006. Dutton graduated from SJC in 2010 with a bachelors in Business Administration. In May, Dutton completed work on his masters in Athletic Administration from Ohio University.

Daniel Day
Assistant Coach
Day joined the Saint Josephs College football coaching staff in July of 2011 as the offensive line coach. On December 5th, 2014 Day was promoted to serve as the 19th Head Football Coach in SJC history. The Pumas finished 2015 with a 5-6 mark on the season. With a host of new faces on the offensive line, the Pumas averaged 132 yards on the ground and threw the ball for 187 yards per game. SJC was known in 2015 for taking care of the ball, finishing 19th in the nation in turnover margin. The Pumas forced 20 fumbles, while recovering 14. The defense also made an impressive 13 interceptions on the year. In 2014 Pumas ranked 13th nationally with 242 rushing yards per game while standing 16th in Division II against the run. The offensive line allowed just 15 sacks this season. SJC finished the year 8-3 for the second time in as many years. The Pumas were the best rushing team in the GLVC in 2013, averaging 224.1 yards per game. An average that also ranked 28th in the NCAA. The Pumas produced a GLVC leading 24 rushing touchdowns. Braxton Shelton rushed for over 1,000 yards behind an experienced offensive line in 2013, becoming only the fifth back in SJC history with a 1,000 yard season. In 2012, Coach Day helped the offensive line average 390 yards of total offense per game. The Pumas average 27.9 points per game, while getting over .500 for the first time in six seasons. The Pumas running attack accounted for 150 yards in 2012. The offense passed for 239 yard per game, with 29 touchdowns. The offensive line allowed less than two sacks per game. In 2011, Day helped the offensive line average 321 yards of total offense per game. SJC averaged 45 passing attempts per game while allowing just 2.4 sacks per contest. Day came to SJC after successful playing and coaching career at Seton Hill University. As an offensive graduate assistant and later a tight ends coach, Day helped the Griffins offensive average 157 rushing yards and 1.5 sacks per game last season. During his tenure Day assisted the offensive coordinator with film breakdown and game planning. As a player Day was a part of the inaugural football team at Seton Hill in 2005. He was a captain during his senior season as the Griffins had their best season in school history going 10-3. The team reached the NCAA playoffs for the first time and won their first playoff game, 14-7 over American International before falling to eventual national semifinalist California (PA) in the regional semifinal. A four year letter-winner and three year starter, Day was also awarded the Most Valuable Linemen award his senior season. Day earned his bachelors in History in 2009 from Seton Hill and finished work on his masters in Elementary Education in August. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Day and his wife Danielle along with their two children Daniel and Ellianna reside in Rensselaer. Nubis Padhye
Coach
Padhye joined Saint Josephs College as an assistant football coach in February of 2012 where he assisted with running backs and wide receivers. He returned to SJC as a defensive coordinator in 2014. The Pumas finished 2-8 in 2012 before Padhye took a recruiting position with the University of Illinois. The Illini finished 4-8 in 2013. In 2014, the SJC defense ranked 49th in the nation allowing 348 yards of total offense per game. More impressively the Pumas ranked 16th against the run, allowing a slim 104 yards on the ground. The 2015 season saw SJC allow 373 yards of total offense per game, including 147 yards on the ground. The Pumas forced 20 fumbles, while recovering 14. The defense also made an impressive 13 interceptions on the year. SJC finished the year ranked 19th in turnover margin. Before SJC, Padhye spent the previous two seasons (2010-11) as the Pass Game Coordinator along with being the Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers Coach at Defiance College. At Defiance, Padhye helped develop a pistol option offense, producing an All- Conference quarterback who passed and rushed for over 1,000 yards in the 2010 season. In addition, Padhye has previously severed at Ashland University. In 2008, he was a Defensive Graduate Assistant, as well as the Outside Linebackers Coach for the Golden Eagles. Padhye coached two All-Conference outside linebackers in a 3-4 defensive scheme. The following season he became the Offensive Graduate Assistant and Video Coordinator. Padhye assisted with development of the Wide Receivers and Quarterbacks, and mentored two All-Conference wide receivers. Padhye started his coaching career as the Defensive Backs coach at Westminster College where he assisted with the secondary while mentoring two defensive backs to All-Conference honors. Padhye received his bachelors degree from Ohio State University in Business Administration, while concentrating in Marketing. During his time at OSU, he was a student assistant for the offensive coaching staff and a part of a Big-Ten Championship season as well as a number one ranking and a National Championship berth. Originally from Los Angeles, Cal., Padhye now resides in Rensselaer.
