Head Coach

Natalia Koryzna was named the 15th head coach in the volleyball program's 41-year history on Friday, April 30, 2021. Koryzna serves as the head coach for both the beach volleyball and indoor volleyball programs at Saint Leo as she enters her fourth season at the helm of the Lions' volleyball program in the 2024 season. In beach volleyball, the Lions have captured two Silver AVCA titles in the spring of 2022 and 2023 while the Green and Gold placed fourth in the AVCA Small College Championships in 2024. With Koryzna at the lead, the beach volleyball program has earned a 53-43 record. Fast Facts Alma mater: Dowling, 2007 Seasons coached: 7 seasons Coaching record: 99-95 (.510) Seasons coached at Saint Leo (2021-23): 3 Record at Saint Leo: 33-58 (.362)    Coaching History Koryzna joined the Lions after four years at the helm of the Westminster College program out of Fulton, Mo. In her four years as head coach at Westminster, Koryzna led the Blue Jays to four-straight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournaments. Her team captured the regular season title in 2017 and advanced to the championship match in her very first season at the helm. She was named the SLIAC Coach of the Year for her efforts that season. After another postseason appearance in 2018, she led her team to the tournament title in 2019 earning the program's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1999. This past season, which was played in the spring of 2021, she led the Blue Jays to an 11-2 regular season mark before advancing to her third SLIAC Tournament Championship match, finishing with an impressive 13-3 record. The team achieved a national ranking in the AVCA Division III Poll for the first time in program and conference history and climbed all the way to No. 10.   She has also spent time as a coach and evaluator as part of the USA Volleyball High Performance Program which bridges the gap between our USA National Teams and youth volleyball programs across the country. This is done through a system of national tryouts, which then qualify athletes for training programs and the USA Youth and Junior National Teams.   Koryzna also served as the Club Director at Volleyball Pro Academy in Columbia, Mo. for five years overseeing all aspects of the club including scheduling, budgeting, fundraising and coaching. She also has four years of assistant coach experience at the NCAA Division II and NAIA levels. She began her college coaching journey at her alma mater Dowling College in Oakdale, N.Y. She spent two seasons as an assistant coach including helping the team make back-to-back appearances at the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in 2009 and 2010 while achieving a final AVCA National Ranking of No. 20. Following Dowling she spent two years as a head coach at Los Angeles Volleyball Academy in Studio City, Calif. before returning to the college ranks as an assistant at the University of Missouri St. Louis. She spent one season at UMSL before moving on to Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. for one season. Her final stop prior to Westminster brought her to Battle High School also in Columbia, Mo. where she served as head coach for one season.   Personal History Prior to traveling to America to be a student-athlete at Dowling College she competed in beach and indoor volleyball in Poland. She achieved three top-three finishes at the University Beach Volleyball Tournaments from 2004-06. She also led her U15 club team to a Polish National Championship in 1998 and achieved runner-up status with her U17 and U19 clubs in 2000 and 2001.   She spent three seasons at Dowling College as a student-athlete including a pair of NCAA Division II Elite Eight appearances in 2005 and 2006.   A native of Wroclaw, Poland, Koryzna graduated from Dowling College with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2007 before returning to DC and earning her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in management and leadership in 2011.

Abby Keim

Head Coach

Abigail (Moser) Keim was named the head coach of Saint Leo volleyball in April of 2025 to begin her second stint in the Green & Gold. Keim first stint began as an Assistant Coach in March of 2019 under-then head coach Jason Skoch. Under their direction the Lions reached new heights as Saint Leo captured its first NCAA South Region Championship and NCAA Elite Eight appearance in the very first season of the Skoch era. The pair guided senior Anilise Fitzi to First Team All-Sunshine State Conference and All-South Region honors as well as AVCA Honorable Mention All-American plaudits. Keim spent the previous two seasons as head coach of the Quincy University volleyball program in Quincy, Ill. In her first year as head coach she helped guide senior outside hitter Rebekah Raebel to first team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) honors. She guided the Hawks to third in the conference in digs per set in 2017 and then to second in 2018 at 18.94 dps. She had a perfect graduation rate in her two seasons at the helm and led the team to a 3.4 GPA.   Prior to taking over as head coach, Keim spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Quincy. She focused primarily on the defensive side of the ball and led the Hawks to a third place finish in the GLVC in digs per set in 2016. She helped guide her libero to a pair of GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honors and saw her named second team All-GLVC in 2016. She also had a senior middle blocker earn first team All-GLVC honors that season. In her first season as an assistant, she took the Hawks who ranked 11th in digs per set in the GLVC and improved them all the way to fifth in 2015. The team never dropped below third in the GLVC in digs per set during any of the following three seasons she spent at Quincy as either a head or assistant coach.   The Wildwood, Mo. native spent four seasons as a libero at Truman State prior to entering the coaching field, helping the Bulldogs to the 2014 GLVC Tournament championship. She was the starting libero for 134 of the last 135 matches of her career and is the Bulldogs' all-time leader in digs (2,416) and digs per set (4.75). She was the 2014 GLVC Libero of the Year and was named to the All-Midwest Region squad. Moser was a four-time GLVC Defensive Player of the Week.   In addition to her successes with a nationally competitive collegiate program, Keim was previously part of two highly regarded prep programs in the Rockwood Thunder VBC and Lafayette High School, where she also received recognition for her defensive play. Moser was named to the Under Armour/AVCA All-American watch list, as well as nominations to Missouri's All-Region and All-State teams.   Keim graduated from Truman State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and followed that up with a master’s degree in special education from Quincy University in 2017. Keim is married to Saint Leo head baseball coach Josh Keim and before returning to the Green & Gold, she spent the last few years as a registered nurse.
