Year at Saint Mary's: 4th (in 2025) Record at Saint Mary's: 40-73 Overall Collegiate Record: 242-128 Amber Zitzow is the head volleyball coach at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, a position she has held since February, 2022 Her success continued in academics as she has coached a total of 10 CSC Academic All-District players, 44 Academic All-Conference honors. Durning the 2025 campaign, Zitzow coached two All-Conference players to his best season at the helm with an 11-16 record, just shy of a playoff spot. In her first season in 2022, she coached one First Team All-Conference player, one Honorable Mention, and guided 11 student-athletes to Academic All-Conference honors. Zitzow came to Saint Mary’s after spending time as the assistant coach at the University of Minnesota-Morris, where she helped guide the Cougars to a 15-14 overall record, including a 10-4 record in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) and a berth in the UMAC Tournament semifinals.   Zitzow joined the UM-Morris staff after 12 seasons at Rochester Community Technical College (RCTC), the first four as an assistant coach and the last eight as the Yellowjackets’ head coach.   Zitzow led RCTC to a 187-41 record in eight seasons. Including a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III national championship in 2015, third-place finishes in 2014 and 2018, and a fourth-place finish in 2019. She also coached nine NJCAA All-Americans, four American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans, and 72 NJCAA All-Academic recipients. In 2015, she was named NJCAA Division III National Coach of the Year, and in 2019 she was the AVCA Two-Year College West Region Coach of the Year.   Zitzow graduated from Winona State University with degrees in recreation and tourism, coaching, and adventure travel and tourism. She added a master's degree in coaching and athletics administration from Concordia University-Irvine in 2021.    

Greta Hansen, originally from the Milwaukee area, attended the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. For the past two years, she has been teaching first grade, combining her passion for education with the love for working with young learners. Her background in volleyball spans over a decade as a player at both the school and club levels. Hansen has been coaching athletes ages 12–18 for the past eight years and currently serves as a director at Elevate VBC. During her time with the club, Hansen's teams have consistently placed in the top 10 at nationals for four consecutive years and have compiled a coaching record of 153-50. Before joining Saint Mary’s, she coached varsity volleyball at La Crescent–Hokah. The 2025 season marks Hansen's first with the Cardinals
