McMillans leadership SRJC mens basketball has made four consecutive appearances at the CCCAA Elite 8. Santa Rosa capped off their runs of final 8 appearances by winning the 2014 State Championship. McMillan is a faculty member in the Kinesiology, Athletics and Dance Department and has taught and coached at SRJC since Fall 2000. Prior to taking over at SRJC, McMillan coached professionally abroad for four seasons in Lebanon and Kuwait. Before coaching abroad McMillan was an assistant coach at The University of Tennessee and Marquette University. McMillan played for his father at Cloverdale High School and helped guide the Eagles to consecutive State Titles in 1983 and 1984. He went on to play for Lute Olson at The University of Arizona and helped guide the Wildcats to two Pac-10 crowns and to the NCAA Final Four in 1988. McMillan graduated Arizona with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and also has earned Masters degrees from Marquette University in Sociology and from the United States Sports Academy in Physical Education.
