Marty Kinahan
Head Coach
Kinahans leadership SRJC mens soccer has made eight appearances to the CCCAA State Championship Tournament, representing the north four times in the California State Final. Kinahan is a faculty member in the Kinesiology, Athletics and Dance Department and has taught and coached at SRJC since the Spring of 1998. Prior to taking over the program in 1998, Kinahan served as CSU Chico and Butte College assistant coach for two years. Kinahan lettered in soccer at Sacred Heart High School, San Francisco, CA and went on to play at San Francisco City College. He was team captain, First Team All Conference and Defensive Player of the Year. After college Kinahan went on to participate in USISL and played for the Shasta Scorchers. In addition to soccer, Kinahan participated for over 15 years in Gaelic Football. He traveled around the United States and Ireland with his team. In 1997, his team Sons of Boru captured the national title as the first all American-born player team to win a national championship. Kinahan graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelors Degree in Recreation Administration and a Masters Degree in Physical Education. Kinahan was born and raised in San Francisco. He has been married to Kim for 23 years and is the proud father to Keegan (19) and Molly (17).
