Kara Concheck-Vincent

Head Coach

Berkland is entering her third season as the head coach of the women's lacrosse team after taking over the program in August 2014.  In 2016, Berkland led the Bees to a 13-3 record and the top seed in both the NWLL and NAIA tournament. SCAD advanced to the semifinals of both tournaments.  In total, the Bees had three NAIA All-Americans and four NWLL All-Americans.  In her first season at the helm, Berkland led the Bees to a 15-2 record and won the NWLL national championship.  Prior to joining the Bees, Berkland spent four years at LaGrange College, one as an assistant and three as the head coach.   From summer 2011 to summer 2014 she coached the Panthers in the USA South Athletic Conference.  Before Berkland took over the position, LaGrange had a 1-19 record which she improved upon every year.  During her time she had eight players selected to all conference teams and the team improved statistically every season. In addition to coaching at LaGrange, she has experience coaching at camps throughout the east coast with Game Breaker, Nike, Sewanee, and GA Tech lacrosse camps. Before joining LaGrange, Berkland served as an assistant coach at Lasell College in Newton, MA for the 2009 and 2010 seasons, where her primary responsibility was the team's defense.  During her time at Lasell, the Lasers achieved their most wins in a season and achieved their highest stats in goals, assists, draw controls and caused turnovers. Berkland played lacrosse at Bridgewater State, where she was named the New England Women's Lacrosse Association Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the First Team All-Conference Team as a senior in 2008.  As one of three captains, Bridgewater went undefeated in league play and was league champion her senior year. Berkland is a graduate of Bridgewater State College with a degree in Art Education and Art History with a minor in Secondary Education and she is also a graduate of Sharon High School in Sharon, MA.  In 2013, she earned her masters degree in Education from LaGrange College.   Adrienne Berkland Coaching Record
