Sewanee: University of the South Men's Cross Country

Heitzenrater is in his 25th year with the university, and worked the first seven years in the Office of Admission. A 1990 graduate of Duke University, Heitzenrater was a 400 and 800 meter runner for the Blue Devils track team under Hall of Fame coach Al Buehler. He holds a USA Track & Field Level 2 Certification in Endurance Events and Jumps and is a member of the U.S. Track & Field Coaches Association. Heitzenrater also received a Masters in Sport Administration from Belmont University in 2009. Grimes was an All-SAA performer in cross country. Continuing to run, Grimes is now competing in ultra-marathons. He won the Yeti Snakebite 50 miler in Lithia Springs, Ga. in August. His family lives in Charleston, S.C.
