Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania Women's Field Hockey

Brownley is in her second season as an assistant field hockey coach at Shippensburg University in 2016. She assists head coach Bertie Landes with the teams game-day preparations and provides assistance with practice duties as well as scouting.      Brownley joins the Raiders after serving as the field hockey director at the Pocono Dome Sports Complex. She ran clinics, camps, tournaments and leagues at the facility for field hockey players of all ages.   In 2013, Brownley was an assistant coach at Dickinson College in nearby Carlisle. Brownley was active in practice sessions and skills instruction with the Red Devils, who had a record-setting 12-6 campaign that included a 10-game winning streak. At Dickinson, Brownley was also active with film breakdown, video review, recruiting and fund-raising.   Brownley boasts significant experience as both a field hockey coach and with athletic administration. Prior to Dickinson, she served as an intern to both the field hockey coach and the director of athletics at Wilkes University. While in Wilkes-Barre, Brownley provided assistance with budgets and scheduling while also aiding the field hockey program with recruiting and administrative roles.   Her collegiate playing experience came at East Stroudsburg University, where she was a four-year starter for the Warriors from 2007-10. Brownley was a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-American and All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) First Team performer as a junior, scoring 19 goals and totaling eight assists to rank fourth in the country in points per game.   Overall, in 81 collegiate contests, Brownley scored 38 goals and had 18 assists for 94 career points. Brownley later served as ESUs graduate assistant coach in 2012 and was integral to organization and instruction of the teams practice sessions.   Brownley holds a Level I coaching certification. She has also developed extensive experience with camps, working for several years with the ESU Warrior Field Hockey Camp in addition to time spent at Dickinson and Syracuse.   A native of Biglerville, Brownley earned her bachelor of science in health and physical education from East Stroudsburg in 2011. She earned a master of science in management and leadership in sports management from East Stroudsburg in 2013.
