Skidmore College Men's Soccer

Entering his third season as head coach of the Skidmore College men’s soccer program, Campion has quickly transformed the Thoroughbreds into one of the Liberty League’s rising programs. After inheriting a team that finished eighth in the conference standings in 2023, Campion guided Skidmore to a third-place finish in 2024 before leading the program to its highest-ever Liberty League finish, second place in 2025. This past season, the Thoroughbreds recorded their first 10-win season in over a decade while also posting the program’s highest conference point total in school history and hosting the program’s first-ever Liberty League semifinal match at home. Skidmore additionally finished the regular season undefeated at home, establishing one of the toughest home-field environments in the conference. Campion’s impact has also been evident on the recruiting trail and in player development. His first recruiting classes have made an immediate impact on the program, highlighted by Jacob Humienny becoming Skidmore’s first-ever Liberty League All-Rookie Team selection. Over Campion’s first two seasons, Skidmore players have earned 10 All-Liberty League selections and four United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors. Beyond on-field success, Campion has also re-established the program’s ability to travel internationally, leading the Thoroughbreds on a foreign tour to Cologne, Germany, and Amsterdam, Netherlands, in March 2026. During the trip, the team competed in friendly matches against local clubs while also taking part in cultural and educational experiences throughout both cities.   Prior to Skidmore:   Assistant Coach, University of New Hampshire Men’s Soccer, 2022-2024 2022, 2023 America East Coaching Staff of the Year, 2023 Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year for Division 1, Overall record of 28-7-5 (.763) 2023, #10 final national ranking, received #8 seed in NCAA Tournament (highest in program history), advanced to Sweet Sixteen including a win over defending national champion Syracuse, America East Regular Season Champions, nine All-Conference Selections, 2 All-Americans including Yannick Bright drafted 15th in MLS draft to Inter Miami, recruited and developed 18 new student-athletes 2022, America East Regular Season and Conference Champions, won 1st round NCAA game against Seton Hall, developed 6 professional players including MLS Draft 3rd overall pick Moise Bombito, two All-Americans, six All-Conference selections Head Coach, New England College Men’s Soccer, 2020-2022 2021 NECC Coach of the Year, New England 2021 Region Staff of the Year for Division III (United Soccer Coaches), overall record of 12-7-2 2021, NECC Conference Champions, first NCAA tournament appearance in 5 years All-Region Selection & NECC Co-Player of The Year, Wiskens Flavil NECC Rookie of the Year, Julian Duarte Six All-Conference Selections  Additional Experience: Director of Coaching, New Hampshire’s Olympic Development Program, 2020-2024 Director of Operations, University of New Hampshire Men’s Soccer, 2019-2020 Assistant Coach, SUNY Purchase Men’s Soccer, 2018-2019  Playing Experience   SUNY Geneseo, 2014-2016 Two-time Academic All-American Two-time All-East selection Three-time SUNYAC All-Conference first-team 2016 SUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year  Southern New Hampshire University, 2012-2014 2013 NCAA DII National Champion Two-time Northeast-10 Conference Champion NCAA Elite 89 Award Recipient Campion received his B.A. in history and adolescence education from SUNY Geneseo before completing his M.A. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.   COACHING RECORD BY YEAR OVERALL CONFERENCE YEAR SCHOOL W L T W L T POSTSEASON / NOTES 2020 New England College 3 0 0 0 0 0 N/A 2021 New England College 9 7 2 3 2 1 NCAA Tournament 2nd Round, NECC Champions, NECC Coach of the Year 2 SEASONS NEC TOTALS 12 7 2 3 2 1 NEC PERCENT .619 .583 2024 Skidmore College 6 4 7 5 2 2 Liberty League Semifinal 2025 Skidmore College 10 4 3 6 2 1 Liberty League Semifinal, Best Liberty League regular season finish 2 SEASONS SKIDMORE TOTALS 16 8 10 11 4 3 SKIDMORE PERCENT .618 .694 4 SEASONS TOTALS 28 15 12 14 6 4 PERCENT .618 .667 1 Conference Championship 1 NCAA Tournament Appearance
