Forte (McCready) is in her fifth season as an assistant coach for the SSU women's cross country team in 2016 and in her third season as the assistant coach for the women's track and field program in 2017. Fitzpatrick Head Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Alma Mater: Cal Poly SLO (1996) Twitter: Sean Fitzpatrick will return for his fourth season as head coach of the Sonoma State women's cross country team in 2016, and his third season as the head coach of the women's track and field team in 2017.  It is his sixth season overall with the cross country program, as he spent two seasons as an assistant coach prior to taking over the head coaching reigns in 2013. Fitzpatrick is well-known in the local running community as he has coached the Santa Rosa Express for the past 15 years and the cross country teams at Santa Rosa High School for the past 12 years.  He also competed at the collegiate level, spending a couple of seasons at both Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and at Santa Rosa Junior College. Sean earned his Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly SLO in 1996.
